This is what happens when you ask a question and don't read the stickies first.

So it's not enough to be abusive to newbs when they leave a post......Now you are making pre-emptive strikes?

Some one needs to grow up a little

One of the basic rules of forum posting is to check the stickies, its not that complicated, these are just lazy lazy people.

True enough. But the intent of the original post from what i see is just antagonistic.there is no need to roast someone who has not already posted a stupid question.

If you want to leave a post to say 'read the stickies' fine. But there is a more mature way to do it that the OP.

I've been posting links to the FAQ in every stupid question thread I've read for the past 6 months, I just finally got fed up is all. It's just that sometimes it gets to be too much, so if I offended anyone I apologize. I did post a clicky to the FAQ in this thread too, so it wasn't completely unhelpful.

Trust me, i know your frustration. I do tech support in a call center. I get the same stupid questions from my customers all the time.

Me:click next

Customerk, you want me to click next?

Me:Yes

Customer:You want me to click next now?

Me:Yes

Customer:Now there is a box with 'OK' on it

Meress Ok then.

Customer:now?

Im sure you get the idea. But I have to be patient and deal with it. And I've been doing this for almost 5 years at this job.

Now im saying this with all due respect, but I think we all need to have a little patience with the newbs. If it burns someone to answer the same silly question, the that person should refrain from posting. This is not directed at you spacifically Akiram. I've been a little impatient to newbs a couple time, but felt bad right after.

And yet the best thing is to head to the FAQ's and stickies right away, unfortunatly we will always have those who won't, no matter what we say.

Besides, we need to all band together and make enough noise so the Devs will step in (wishfull thinking) and mabe finnaly give us our content.

Zotux: This sin't tech support. This isn't a job, we do not get paid to put on a happy face and be nice to people. Quite the opposite in fact. This is the Smuggler boards. Get used to it.

If anyone took offence to this, then they should grow a sense of humor. If they find that too difficult, then they should at least be prepared for mocking once people realize they lack one.

If someone is too lazy to try and look for something, then I am too lazy to help them. I don't mind helping someone who really is trying to get something done or actively seeking an answer, but if they just can't be bothered to try it themself, then I am unwilling to give it to them. I remember one idiot even said, right to us, that he couldn't be bothered to try. I think it was a thread that got deleted a while back.

The majority of things you'd need to ask about the Smuggler profession is clearly covered in the Smuggler FAQ, if you make a thread about something already covered(because you didn't bother looking), you should expect to be mocked, derided, and possibly even insulted for it. That goes for all forums.
