What's the story on these slices, are they creating an increase in dmg output or is it another pipe dream of Blistex?

I haven't seen any references to testing of a Master Bountyhunter with a "critical" sliced weapon. I'm hoping someone with a dual mastery can express their test results to show the benefit of slice a weapon in this fassion.
