Sorry if this has been discussed before I'm still new to smuggler. I've had two people come up to me for to slice locked containers for them since I got novice smuggler and had 2 completely different experiences. The firstone asked for the slice and I responded that it would cost him 1k. He laughed and ended up paying me more after I completed the slice. So when the next person asked me for a slice I responded that it would be 5k. The guy lol then said "I get my slices for free or 1k. I told him that was terrific and wished him a good day. Oddly enough why would he be coming to me if he has a person that will do it for free...Oh well.

So my question is what does everyone charge for a slice? Does it vary depending on whether its a locked container, weapon or armor. The bad thing is that as long as there are people willing to do it for free, the rest of us make no money. I had an entertainer before and had the same problem. They set up a cover charge fee for ent., but nobody uses them, so they are pointless and very few people tip so you are always broke as a ent.

Anyhow what does everyone charge for their slices?

I don't slice atm unless the person really wants to take the risk with the way slicing is atm or if i want to mess there stuff up hehe( and i do warn them)

yea my going rate for slicing is "WHAT THE F*CK WOULD YOU WANT A SLICE FOR RIGHT NOW!!!??!?" plus 15k. Assuming I even have tools.

My usual, which is what I charged for mind buffs waaaay back, was 'whatever you feel is fair....and make sure you start appealing to whatever brings you luck, slicing is far from perfect right now'

I got 20k for 3 weapons, which I found to be pretty nice. Alas, 10%, 5%, and 5% speed. /sigh

I've actually forgotten what I used to charge Pre-CU. Has slicing been broken that long already?

I charge 10k a slice.

I havent stopped slicing since the CU, I just warn them about what may happen and ask if they still want the slice. I dont get many that say they will wait till slicing is fixed.

I just dont see why I shouldnt slice if the client is not bothered about slicing beeing messed up.

I simply say "Slicing is currently bugged, you've been warned", then I have them bank tip me and slice weapons for 5k and armor for 10k each piece. Why the armor hike? Easy, I hate slicing 9 pieces of armor, and with slicing in its current state I am saving some poor sap from crying later and trying to ruin my already well established smuggler-icious credentials.

Are you trying to say that your Advanced Search works? Because for weeks the Search has never worked for me.

Then I notice all the posts where this has been discussed endlessly.

Then I notice all the posts that say that slicing is broken.

No reason to be short. Just because you understand how to use the search function doesn't mean he does. Do people complain when people don't clickify their urls? No, because they know the person doesn't know how to read/write html which is not a failing in the person.
