I was thinking about going along the smuggler route, and had never actually heard of this until i saw it listed in the skill tree.

Can you really slice a mission terminal and get more money out of it? - If this isn't broken, how much more money are we talking about?

Umm, well yes you can slice into mission terminals to get more money for doing missions. It will double the normal payout.

double? where you slicing?

For me it makes a 1100c mission about 1500-1600c running lvl10's outta cornet.

Kick me some of them double ones!

Er, roughly double then.

Can't say as I bother slicing mission terminals anymore.

My understanding was that it gave an extra 50% payoff:

1000cr mission, 50% = 500 cr, 1000+500 = 1500cr sliced payoff

What should the expected success rate of slicing a mission terminal be? I've never succeeded before, and I'm a master smuggler. Does the quality of the tools have anything to do with it? Ten fails in a row leads me to believe I'm doing something wrong. Is there a certain order in which I have to complete the 4 steps?

Sorry if these are repeat questions but we all know how well the search function works.

Just use a molecular clamp, it tells you the wire to cut with a 100% sucess rate. Also, you should read the stickies at the top of the forum before searching or posting.

Strangely, Stickies seem unaffected by the Search funtion.

I read the stickies on slicing but all I found were info about how slicing armor and weapons are borked. Was there something about terminals in there that I missed? I also didn't notice any info about which steps to do when.
