I see in the FAQ that the revamped smugglers can now do a first tier slice "bare-handed", and that we need various items to do upper tier slices (i.e., Simple Toolkit, Finely Crafted Toolkit, etc.)

What I didn't see, however, are the follow-up questions that I have to that info:

1) Are the smuggler items crafted or looted? (In either case, by whom/what?)

2) Are these items consumed during a slice?

3) Does a higher tier item cover lower slices, or do you need each item?

3) No. You need each item.

In answer to your questions

1. Looted. There are a multitude of things that drop the tools. I use BH missions to pick the tools up, tome it seems the fastest way to get them vice buying them. Also, if you have any old AUK's and WUK's you can "reprocess" them into useable tools just click on the tool and look for it in the radial.

2. Yes, all tools are consumed during the process

3. No, you need a specific tool for each tier. I know there is a post with a data sheet showing what is needed on each tier but I can't find it at the moment.

Well, I saw what item was needed for each slice in the FAQ, so I've got that info, thanks.

So, the items are consumed? Yikes!

Given that I've seen the upper level ones at 20k per on the bazaar, slicing just got VERY expensive.

Anybody got a guide for what drops which items?

Damn I want to find tools for only 20k. the cheapest I can find for any tools is like 50k.

NGE is here and we're still just 'Rs'.
