The other night I'm relaxing in Theed Cantina with a friend (okay...a new slave ) when someone comes in saying "I'm looking for a smuggler."

After a minute or two it apparently does occur to him that the personwearing the Master Smuggler might, in fact, be a smuggler, and comes over and asks if I sell faction.

I inform him that in fact I do. Either immediately or very soon I tell him I charge 150 credits per fp.

He says okay. He's counting his credits out loud, I stop dancing and I'm about to head out and take him and my slave to Talus, when he informs me that I can charge 100 credits per fp and still make a nice profit.

Excuse me?? I stop walking and go back to my spot and start dancing again.

For those who have not danced...you cannot walk and dance. You cannot dance and walk. If I'm dancing, I'm not walking...and we're not going off to do the deal. It's off.

I say "Excuse me? You're going to tell me what to charge for faction?"

He makes some more noises to the effect that he is operating under the delusion that yes, he can tell price my services for me...the only reason I do not at this point have him on ignore is that I find him amusing in some perverse way. Then...he walks off saying "I need a smuggler...I want to buy faction...I'm not a cheapskate..."

There WAS another master smuggler there, but I know better than to out her if she's not mentioning it herself...she'd just have to smack him and while her giving him a verbal skinning would be sooooo beautiful...she'd /whap me for outing her so bad!
