hey folks!
looks like slice caps on weapons are below of actual weapon caps.. check the WS forum for more info. that needs to be tested IMO.
that's a bad news for everybody :/

Well, if it is true - is anyone truly surprised?
I still refuse to slice and will for a few months until things sort themselves out - if ever.
/sigh

I either have to slice a bunch, get these stupid things stacked or just not play. Because I have NO FREAKING ROOM to loot anything.

Here is the thread re: sliced caps below actual weapons cap.

I do not share the thread author's opinion.....I want my uber weapons to be slicable! My poor smuggler alt....all those WUKs will have to be saved until this gets resolved. I cannot believe this was intended. ![]()

BTW... I posted here first to see how you all felt about it, and got no response. So, I posted in the WS forums to see if it was considered good for WS. I am a gunrunner. I do both, and the fact that slice cap < crafting cap seems to benenfit no one, prompted me to provoke the ones that it might benefit into response.

In my opinion, there shouldn't be any cap's on Smuggler slices. Just like there is not a cap on WS PuP's. I mean, really, it's not like we can get that good of a slice as it is
.
Leaving the weapon cap on during crafting is fine, and to a degree it makes sense(thank goodness for the weapon cap, seems people do enough dmg as is in combat) But when it comes to slicing, smugglers are "fixing" the gun to give better results. It just makes sense that they should be able to take a gun further then the weaponsmith who created it. After all, without the weaponsmith who created it, the smuggler would still be out of a job.
That said I hate the new slicing system period, it's utter crap. Not only do i have crates upon crates of un-usable stuff, Now i have to go out and spend hours searching for looted components to slice. What ever happened to SWG being a player driven economy where crafters ruled and crafters could make everything. Since the CU, crafters got shafted because quest rewards are way better then crafted items(and with people still using ADK's, a lot of ppl will never have to worry about decay on their weapons.

I am completely unsurprised and simultaneously insulted.
It's not like we're getting 'shafted' by this or anything... it's just like getting our noses rubbed in it a little bit. I know it isn't MUCH lower than the crafting max... but even if it was five points less, it would be enough to just let us know that somewhere there are developers thinking 'you know what? we should make slicing even less useful for the smugglers'. It says a lot about the attitude towards our profession.
That said, I really want one of those 69 SAC FWGs, Accamim...

Ihope this issue is acknowledged and addressed. Why go through the pain and/or credits to get a top end crafting component for that last slice on an uber weapon? ***sigh***

I just wasted an illegal core booster on a weapon that reached it's "slicing cap"
