Thread: Is fiegn death broken?

i tested fiegn death with me guild m8s by dueling them and it would say prepareing to preform fiegn death and nothing would happen, i would just keep taking damage, i almost got killed like that, ive been playing smuggler for 6 months, i know how it works, i think it is bugged for me, i sent in a trouble ticket this morning but no responce, but i take it noone else is experiencing same issue so its my account i guess.

If you got booted while FD, you will have to die (and clone, I believe) to get FD to work again. This was discovered by the Jedi who would FD and log out when a BH came after them. To their surprise, this would only save them from death once, as it then required a death to get FD to work again.

Is it just me or are there others having a problem with fiegn death, im on valcyne server and when i use fiegn death it tells me preparing fiegn and nothing ever happens. I have been master smuggler for 6 months and this is a first, i also tryed reloging and rebooting and same result, anyone else notice this today?

Did you log out while Feigning Death? How many mobs did you have attacking you? Were/are you in a high lag area?
All could lead to that problem.

Pardon if this is obvious, but in order to actually play dead you need to get shot after activating feign death. The idea being that you take another non-lethal hit but then fall over as though the shot had killed you. If you are running away its very easy to activate feign and never actually do it if no one manages to shoot you again.

You also can not use 'Peace' if you want to have feign death trigger. I find that to be the most common user error regarding the skill.
