I'm losing it. No really I am! We are useless. We can do many wonderful things (in our eyes) but to the general populace we it's a title and nothing else. Here is what our profession experiences and has experienced on a daily basis.
Our skills vs the customer/opponent
skill: we can make spice...buy it!
smuggler: see my mind go up! (10 minutes later) see my mind go down (dies shortly after)
customer: I hate downers! besides I have chef food and it's better and lasts longer.
skill: we have pistol skills
smuggler shouts: I HAVE A PISTOL! (combat log: 14:32 you shoot at bob but miss, 14:35 you shoot at bob but miss)
opponent: dizzy/kd + I win button 5-20 times (dead smuggler)
skill: slicing
smuggler: Slicing for 5k!
customer 1: Your prices are ridiculous! I hope you die!
customer 2: Can you damage slice this legendary LVA with 2.1 speed and 345-980 damage? (smuggler get's a 35% speed slice and thinks damn that's a good slice but the timing.../groan)
customer 2: YOU RUINED IT! YOU MORON! DIE!!!!!!! DIE!!!!! THIS WEAPON IS WORTHLESS NOW!
smuggler feigns death to get the customer to leave him alone.
Nearby citizens with weapons: Get em! hit em! Dot em! hit em! hit em! break his armor! Make him have black bars for feigning! MAKE HIM SUFFER!!!!
smuggler thinks: ok I'm pretending to be dead and it's not working...
jawa says: those tuskens are mean to us
Please give me some encouragement for I'm discouraged. I'm not going to drop my wonderful skills but IT'S getting to me. I do love the profession don't get me wrong.

My4 steps to being a smuggler:
Step 1:
Do not walk around with a Master Smuggler or Slicer title on... EVER!
Step 2:
Only slice for friends and guild mates, or maybe just friends 
Setp 3:
Start some light RPing and make a game out of it.
Step 4:
Once the new smuggler patch comes out, buy your way up you current faction and brag about rank
Welcome to the club, we have jackets.
I will be mailing out "Forgotten Smuggler" jackets to all master smugglers the same day that the Smuggler Revamp hits.
^^This statement was made without knowledge of the smuggler revamp update, and also out of spite, and therefore has no basis for anyone desiring to claim said reward.

They actually notice that they got on someones list. Even better if you can set that a$$hat on a blacklist and Smugglers all over the galaxy do the same.

Would it be possible to make a sticky(one for each galaxy)that lists those players that have had /denyservice pasted on them.
If a player is a real sob to a fellow smuggler then why don't the rest of us show out support for fellow smuggler by also /denyservice to that same palyer. I aiminmg this a thte nasty people and not the idiots that don't knw anty better.
Trash talk during or just after combat is one thing. Abuse is another.
what do you think?

I guess I haven't graduated even though I've been Master Smuggler for a while now. For some reason, it always seems to be the negative reactions that stick in our minds -- the moron who thinks a slice 'ruined' a weapon.
I'd be willing tobet a few cases of molecular clamps that every smuggler here can remember those customers who got exactly the slice they were looking for and responded with a nice tip and recommendations. For some reason, it is always the ______ that stand out.
(btw - I always walk around with my Master Smuggler title unless I'm doing serious hunting)

well im i know content is comming... and i can wait... but im irritated that i have to have 2 basic trees costing 58 skill points and dont get any pistol accuracy, or unarmed accuracy or damage, or even one point of ranged or melee defense, not even a +10 vs stun, kd, dizzy, blind, or posture change.
You would think that a smuggler, aka a jack of all, or an underworld survivalist would have at least a small bit of this...
I would like to see smuggs get +10 melee def, +10 ranged def, and +15 vs all the effects, +40 pistol accuracy, +40 unarmed accuracy. Making us more versitile in a fight especially when we are on our own.
