Well, you guys and gals ARE aware that Feign Death is making bounty hunters' job impossible?
I don't blame them for venting or making up crazy ass ideas.

I like your suggestion.
ok so I didn't thought your movie analogy was very convincig , because let's face it, a real BH out to kill you would put a few more bullets to the heart or head to make SURE you are dead.
But all that said, the game also have to be ballanced, fair, and fun, not only realistic. And I think that suggestion (that I remember seeing here in another thread) is fair.

I'm just waiting for the day all the BHs start complaining that they need a new skill: PWN Shot.
Basically, by using /pwnshot you automatically drain the enemy's HAM, blackbar them, destroy their armor and any vehicle in their inventory and steal all the credits on their person and in their bank account. Yes friends, it's the intant I Win button. Because lets face it, according to BH logic, no one else should ever be able to defeat them anyway. Lets make it easy and just give them one skill that ensures they always succeed.
But of course, Jedi will need a skill so they won't have to ever suffer defeat either, won't have to risk any of their precious XP because they're Uber. So Jedi get something called Force Teleport. /ForceTeleport allows the Jedi to use the Force to rip a hole in the fabric of space and instantly travel to the opposite end of the Galaxy from the hired BH.
/sarcasm off
BTW Yimaz, I give you ***** for all your posts, given the assumption that there's a pretty good chance that your logic will get you flames and 1-stars.
EDIT: Well damn, I think this is the first time I've ever been 1-starred. Cool

Check my post in that thread yimaz, I think you'll agree with what I said (as it plays directly off of what you were saying)

Axob!! read the thread it is fair on all sides. Also someone on another thread mentioned that if some one FD's the BH would still get paid, seems fair enough to me.
Bad smuggler Axob...bad!!! (jk)

Well man, I don't think that a % skill mod to break it is the best solution for player bounties.
Ending a bounty encounter with a turn of events that leaves one player blasting holes (or unable to blast holes) in an incapacitated target is POOR.
I feel that any kind of evasive manuever used to escape bounties should be an active and player-decision-dependent move that occurs in real time and at alively, funpace.
For example, give smugglers the ability to pull bikes during PvP combat. Vehicles are one shot kills in most cases, but a savy smuggler might Low Blow (KD) a BH coming after him/her, dodge behind a wall or building, then pull their bikes out of the line of fire of their attacker.
When a BH loses a mark like this, they will see a logical progressionin how they lost their bounty. If they lose their mark, it is because of poor planning of the first-strike location. When a BH loses a mark to it falling limp to the ground at their feet, while their blasters cannot put two in their mark's head, we have a problem.
Such a skill falls MUCH more into common sense and continuity than entering some sort of weird voodoo trance that would take DECADES of meditation/training to perfect. Hell even the people who can supposedly do that on Earth do so in a relaxed and comfortable environment... NOT in the heat of battle. I have my doubts about Kung Fu artists being able to do this during a fight, but aren't smugglers the farthest thing from Kung Fu artists? We use blasters and don't believe in such garbage.
I am telling you now, we need "alive" kinds of evasive moves for PvP. This "dead" stuff is retarded.

Axob, while I can see your point, I think you're forgetting one important detail.
Ask any BH and they'll tell you that, besides always putting two shots in someone's skull, or decapitating them to prove their dead, BH's also have steel huevos that will deflect /lowblow 100% of the time.
My point. They're not going to be happy unless they can win every time. Simple fact. We eliminate FD and put in some new escape tactic, they'll still be complaining that we're overpowerd and it's not fair, and boo-hoo-hoo I didn't get paid.
FD was put in the game. Whether it's realistic or not, we all know the devs won't eliminated it and replace it with a new system. They'll just nerf it until it's worthless to use. As such, it makes more sense to develop an 'unrealistic' yet feasible way of implimenting FD that keeps it relatively useful but not over-powered.

But you see Orcajum, FD IS overpowered atbreaking these bounty missions.
I, also, do not agree that the devs will nerf the skill instead of putting in a more appropriate one - at least not in the long term. I just can't agree with that sentiment at all.

% mods on FD so we dont lose the skill and evasion skills so we dont have to use it, it should be a last resort skill anyway.
