Thread: What's the deal with the Nak'Tra crytals?

Ok, so my Smuggler is doing the Mydroill (spl??) caves main village quest and I looted and was awarded 4 Nak'Tra (spl??) crystals while taking out a bunch of the nsuroi'isssis (well the spider things in the deep caverns)(god I love concussive shot)and in the description it states that they are highly prized and used in making weapons. My question is are they actually being used and are they worth anything?
I also looted two rune boxes that when you inspect them they give the option to start a quest related to them (definitely EQ2 style).

Bah, forget the runes and the crystals, its all about skulls, arms, legs and brains!
And I've seen a knife made from the crystals.

Yess, you are right, now that you mention it I saw a Nak'Tra crystal knife one time at a vendor I was browsing [light bulb flickers in head for a moment]. K, now bout the skulls, arms, legs and brains, are you serious or being sarcastic?

Dead serious. Those bugs drop decomposed skulls, decomposed arms, decomposed legs, and brains. Thanks to these, plus the hearts, stomacks, eyeballs, poison samples and other such items, I'm opening a store soon, specializing in such interesting and unique decorating ideas.

The Smugger Decorating guide points this out in one of it's suggested styles, but a pile of skulls in a corner is pretty damn neat.

Don't do the Ren Salla Rune Quest!!!! It's stupid. It's lame to get all the way to the Queen bug chamber and all you get is 3000 credits. Not worth the time if you ask me.

He he he, you think you got it bad listening to me, feel sorry for ApollyonTB, he's one of the guys who has to stand around waiting while I proceed to rip parts out of whatever it is we're hunting, stopping occasionally to yell "YES! More BRAAAIIIIINS!!!!"

Thanks for the heads up. speaking of which, is it me or do these quests give crap rewards? I mean I did the first part of the village quest where I had to kill 15 of those CL76 spider things with my CL73 Smuggler and after about 30-40 minutes of doing it and killing these and all I got was 2000 creds and a Nak'Tra crystal.
Also does anyone have any advice on the quest where you try and free the little fly looking thing (a scientist) in the main wookie village. I have gotten all the way too going to Yavin IV to find the lab and got there, only there was a ton of CL80 red dots all over where the lab is. Is this something that I am going to need a whole killing squad to finish. I can get far enogh to see the cave (lab)entrance, however if that is whats on the outside I can only imagine whats inside.
