The short and sweet version:


- Pair of new quests, in addition to syren ch4


(Of particular interest to myself as a GCW fanatic, one of the new missions is: Catch a Fallen Star: On Yavin IV the Rebels are fighting a desperate delaying action as they attempt to get their last elements off the planet. In the midst of this chaotic fighting, both the Rebels and Imperials are salvaging as much of the fallen Death Star as they can. Of course some undesirable elements have moved in to take advantage of the situation. Criminals, both great and small, have started their own operations to salvage as much as they can, and then to sell what they get to the highest bidder.)


- Haste buffs (doc/jedi) got nerfed slightly


- Crafting bug apparantly fixed


- No more vehicle /offer spamming. Unfortunately, the devs went too far in their nerfing here and disabled the ability to /offer ride to "opposing faction members". Sorry neutrals, you got owned again.


- Group XP nerfed (GG SWG..) - the new system resembles AC1 grouping xp = ((xp / #members) * bonus)


- Player event perks - gone


- BHs can get better NPC missions at master BH - Doc, Scout, and Ranger got a little love (very little)


- [edited in] Graphics (particularly lighting) boost designed to reduce framerate lag (unsure about actual network lag fixes).


- Oh, and.. no smuggler revamp.

yeah but there are also WOrld fixes to decrease lag which is fantastic!!!!!


yeah no smuggler revamp


but look at it this way there are no real nerfs in this publish to professions they are all improvements, small ones but improvements non the less, and hell if ranger got even a note then its good

OK, it needed to be fixed, but making it faction based is foolish.

This is ridiculous. I know SOE has their heads up the EQ a$$ most of the time, but people really hate grinding. They want to play, not grind, the new system worked fine, it brought back groups and still allowed for rapid advancement. And what the f*ck is up with this idea anyway, didn't they just give everyone two long periods of double xp?

who asks for...

- experimentation working
- resource / inventory bug fixes

... I've been shouting about those two almost daily since /p20/ hit tc

- lag fixes
- better visuals (when the kinks get worked out, hehe)
- content for all players
- badges working for content that was added a few weeks ago
- re exploit fixes
- 3 month old content revisited and made more useful and user friendly (event stuff)
- fixing Doc armor certs
- a few more vet rewards (ignoring the idiocy of staggering them of course)
- Kash LOS and Avatar fixes

... Nope, not a freakin clue who would want that stuff


Listen folks, theres no smuggler love in there i realize that (well... might be, in a quite backhanded way, but I'll keep that to myself until we see another TC patch or two), doesn't make me happy. And I'm certainly not an apologist for the staff - especially not as of late both for their lack of contact and their total lack of judgement in what to post to TC and what to let go live (deadline vs. quality is WAY off). But I do find it hard to question the general makeup of this pub... if the last 3 or 4 were like this one we'd be in a very different spot right now.

Myonly realcomplaint is the ride thing. Guess my wife's nuetral non-fighter type is gonna have to drive herself. Kinda loses most of the appeal of having a 2 seater.

Known Issues with this Test Center Version



  • Creature Handler: Pets do not follow any command anymore (new & existing pets)

What I was refering to is the way that they "over-fix" issues and screw things up. As a shipwright/smuggler and artisan/architect, I of course want the crafting fixed. I would also like to have any number of the bugs that have been plaguing this game for months/years fixed.

What I don't like is that they punish everyone because of something that was exploited by one group (Jedi... not surprised) and borked the /offerride ability. Could have simply prevented the /offerride from working when you have a TEF, but no, now you have to be grouped, same faction status (or all on leave/civilian) and no TEF. /shrug no need for the first two.

Experience changes, wow do they suck. My first MMO was Asheron's Call and that is pretty much how xp worked there. Total / group # + modifier. You just got people to start grouping again, why screw it up?

Is it even possible to reduce lag on this engine? I thought the design had inherent lag, I mean no computer can play this game with no lag, nothing short of a Cray anyway.





Incompetent development team? ...check!
Inadequate server hardware? ...check!

The player event perks are far from gone. They just removed the NPC actors from player perks. In fact, Player perks last longer now and the timer doesn't start ticking until the perk is set. Before it started when the perk was purchased.

Bleh, why am I explaining. Cut and paste works much better.

# All Event Perk rental venues now include a Venue Remote Control that allows its owner to re-deed the venue and check its time until expiration.

Uh...I'm sorry what? They push the CU in so we all HAVE to group (not bad) then they do this to PUNISH us for grouping????


Ok, if this goes live, I'm pulling a SpinningCloud/AngusMacGreggor/Saarek/ and ditching this game immediately.


I'll be damned if I play a game where they constantly screw with you around then punish you for their screwups.
