I dont spend time over in the TKABoards cause Smuggler and my Server are the only onesI follow. So i ask this question to my fellow TKA Smugglers:

What the F*ck is going on with FOW? Why am I getting wounds everytime i use it, this a bug or some new nerf????????...oh and ?

Yeah I noticed this too, but too my understanding it always has been like this, but i did it buffed the other day and gave me a couple of bad wounds.

Ok, to my knowledge FoW works on a 'success' roll.

The better your 'roll' the better you succeed. Master TKM's have the chance of an excellent roll that lets them come back without any ill-effects I believe, while those with less skill wont be so fortunate.

It's part of the skill's design.

Speaking of FOW...and Feign Death for that matter...I saw something posted on my server's boards that makes them both pale in comparison.

There is a Jedi skill at Master Defender that will prevent an incap. I don't really know a lot about it but it sounds pretty cool actually. Apparently, it will not matter how much damage you take, you will not incap while it is in effect. One post stated it lasted for about 30 min but I really don't know.

Supposedly, the skill point investment is pretty high and a lot of Jedi choose to buy more offensive skills but talk about Feign Death and FOW on steroids...

Hmm...Screw the offensive skills....those attacking you would turn tail and run.

Indeed they have a skill that prevents incap for 30 second, and at master enchancer (i think) they get the ability to self-rez.

30 secs is a lot more plausible than 30 min. Thanks for that bit of info.

Feign Death is basically the ability to "play dead". It's normally used when the kitchen gets a little hot. Useless in 1 on 1 PVP...handy in large group scenarios.

Problem is I'm a master TKA and the last 3X's I've FOW'd Ive taken large wounds, its so strange....maybe they have lowered the success rate?

If I remember correctly, isn't there a trick where you combine Feign Death and FoW?

Basicly, I think it goes like this:

You get low on health and Feign, to keep from getting capped and killed. Then, FoW to pop up from Feigning to a full HAM, and since you weren't really capped, you don't recieve wounds. My template(in my signiture),doesn't allocate enough skill points to let me test this myself. Anyone out there willing to give this a few runs?

On another note, my template is sorta fun in PvP, not uber, but it sure catches people off guard. Some guy comes after me and see's I have the Master Smuggler title, and have a Graul out, thinks I'm one of the uncommon Master Smuggler/Master Creature Handler combos, and tries to take me out up close, when he realizes I've just used Dizzy Strike, switched to my DX2 and PistolWhiped him. Its always fun to see what they yell at me when I sic Drake on them and I run out and blast 'em.

When they get really pissed, I just say, "Don't mess with a Master Smuggler, we're sneaky."

FD+FOW works, but I don't use it untill I a, sure it's not an exploit.

And it seems to me to FOW was nerfed...the last three times I had minimal recovery with a lot of wounds vs full recovery the 20 times before
