Thread: Dropping Master Smuggler :-(

I have always said "Smuggler for life"and I totally believe it. I have been a Master Smuggler since december, these forums have been a great source of comfort, and smuggler Caylin is doing a great job for us (I hope he gets the job as TH's assistant.
In order to smuggle I've been roleplaying since december, I have decided that instead of abusing of those skill points "smuggling" I'll keep on smuggling in the same way without thebroken profession holding me down. I've given the Developers a lot of credit, but I'm too tired of empty promises, maybe space will change the smugglers role I really doubt it, chances are that maybe next year I'll come back to this profession which I love.
I know my voice isn't a large one, and I haven't posted a whole lot on these forums. I love the smuggler community and dropping smuggler is a really big thing for me and because of that I thought I'd post on these forums about my decision. I suspect I'll always keep an interested eye on the state of this profession, hope I'm not gone long. Good luck to the rest of you.

Hope you have a lot of fun in your other lines of work 
You will never need to be a stranger here though, so you can always come back and visit anytime.
This isn't a master smuggler only forum and all are welcome (except trolls 
)

I mastered 3 times in my Holo grind process because I liked it so much. I am now PVP oriented now so I just dont use it all till the good parts get fixed. Plus Jedi takes a lot of my time now too. I have hope for the change since they did good with ID, Chef professions that rule our lives now.

I know how you feel. I actually dropped the entire UW and Spice Tree's. I do not feel that I can wear a tag of a Master Smuggler unless I actually smuggle something. I hope that the revamp really does something for us and not just some "we gave you the ability to slice a terminal for 250 xp in leiu of 100 xp" worthless token of a "favor". I hope to wear the Master Tag someday.....

ive dropped master 4 times out of frustration, but ive decided to live with it. even left the game for 3 months.

Hehe Scall, I know how you feel, my guy is a Master SMuggler/commando... it's kind ofa big kick to the balls really. But I can never resist to flame cone then feign death... ohhhh the funny it makes when you have Janta's on fire that are dancing, then they fall over dead. hehe

I was a Master Commando Master Smuggler, then I went to Dathomir with a two hand sword friend, while I was feigning death to kill a nightsister (or five) by slowly burning them to death she killed all six of them (prior to the last patch) and barely had a scratch... that I think was the beginning of the end. It's funny that a guy with a flamethrower is significantly less powerful than a guy with an axe.
Now I'm trying out the two handed sword thing + defence stacking, I feel so uber that it almost makes me sick. Thanks everyone for your comments, like I said, this smuggler community is amazing and cannot be rivaled by any other. I look forward to seeing the sweeping changes that are in affect for us. Sometime I read the plans that come out of this forum and get all choked up, what a world it could be. :-)

Heh, almost the same thing for me but it was the short 3 profession hologrind which did it for me. I discovered what it truly possible with our skill points and am playing my chosen purpose of faction misaligned freelancer all the way. The only thing I can't figure out is why I keep choosing less then optimum professions... I'm a master pikeman/defensive stacker now... Should have gone swordsman or something... I'ld do better in pvp.. lol

Oh, and smuggler is a mentality. Those who love smuggler are a unique breed and smuggler to their core whether theystill hold the title of smuggler or not. (Think Lando and Han)

I have been a smuggler since like December also... I'm thinking of quiting and picking up something worthwhile. Ironically, my other profession is commando, the other totally screwed up profession...
