hi guys,
I'm a MWS on infinity, and i've decided to use an alt char as a smuggler for all my slicing but i have a few questions....
1) does a master smuggler get better slices than one with just slicing 4?
2) do you get better results using an analyzer flow node, or just a clamp?
3) do quality of tools effect the slice?
4) I know this is a long shot... is there anyway to influence the slice type or %?
Thx guys.
May all your spices be potent!

#1 Master Smugglers can get higher slices than Slicers, we are capable of reaching the cap. However, we can all get low slices, too. But Master Smugglers are the best slicers you'll find.
#2 FANs tell you which wire has a 75% likelyhood of being the correct wire. Clamps tell you which wire to cut and are 100% correct. Just make sure to read the slicing dialog when you use them.
#3 No. And don't let anyone tell you different.
#4 No, not without exploiting a bug. And no, I won't tell ya how.
Hope that helps. Oh, and when you start grinding slicing, You'll need 20 unlocked containers to grind up to Slicing1. Fourty more to get to Slicing2, or 1000 Terminal slices, take your pick. Then, 100 weapons or containers to get to Slicing3. Afterwards, 200 Weapons, containers, or armor pieces to get to Slicing4.
If you do decide to go Master Smuggler, then craft shadowpaw to grind it. 25 units of any organic, and 5 units of any metal. Doesn't take very long. I ground it in a couple hours without the crafing macro.
Good Luck!
