Sorry if these are in the FAQ somewhere. I've been up all night, I'm tired, but I have questions. I'll fall asleep if I read the FAQ...and I'll dream about the answers, because they'll be the last thing I was thinking about. Lol. That'd be one weird dream...
Connected with the skills in Underworld 3/4:
1. Can someone tell me how much a faction point will cost me (roughly)?
2. When I sell faction points, will it be for the same price that I buy them?
3. Can I take a demotion, in order to liberate my faction points, or can I only sell the surplus?
4. Can I sell faction points until they're in minus figures?
5. Any suggestions on how to grind up Underworld REALLY quickly, with minimal preparation in advance? I'm planning a defection, and I don't want to go through a million and one missions to get there...
Connected with other stuff:
1. When you're "playing dead", can you be dragged, like an incapped player?
2. What's the best pistol to use as a Smuggler - Republic, DX2 or Geo? (I know Geo is the 'best' for a pistoleer, but it might not be for a Smuggler)
3. Any roleplaying Rebel Smugglers on Chilastra, Kettemoor or Wanderhome? Please read this post:

Thanks...and please forgive my combination of stupidity and laziness.

There's a sticky up there explaining everything about faction point selling and the underworld tree.
Yes.

OK. I read the FP brokering post. But I still don't quite get it.
What I wanna know is if I can sell faction points to get me into minus figures. Can I sell Imperial FP to a Rebel NPC or something, and get money that way? Or does it not work like that? Do I need to resign first to do that??

Okay, here's how it works.
If you sell faction, you have to use /delegate to give it to someone. You have to be *in* the faction of that you're delegating, and you have to be Overt. The game won't let you drop below 200 through delegation. Please note, if you sell to someone, its not worth the time untill you rank near Warrant Officer I to even attempt it, the faction delegation ratio is to high.(example: it costsaCorporal like, 600 faction, just to give 100 to someone else; while it costs a Colonel 118 faction to give 100 to someone else.)
Now, if you're trading say, Imp faction for credits to a Rebel NPC(or vice versa), its in the dialogue responses you have with the recruiter you talk to. You just choose to the one that says you're selling secrets. No need to resign. Its like you're being a snitch.
