Caution, all!!

My apologies if this has been previously mentioned. I haven't had as much time on this Forum lately as usual.

Twice in the past week or two I have had the following happen:

-- Person hands me items to be sliced

-- I slice the items and open trade window back

-- I put items in trade window and both of us accept

-- message says secure trade completed

-- Person complains they didnt get their items back.

-- Eventually the items DO show up in their inventory.

Last time, a couple of nights ago, the person had to logout/login before his armor showed up. The first time, I can't remember if they had to relog or if it just showed up eventually. At any rate, both times they were very nice about it. But the potential for disaster is here if a customer starts screaming that you stole their stuff.

My suggestion is to remain calm, explain that you have heard of this problem and ask them to relog. Obviously, you can both see the trade window, and you can both see the "Secure Trade completed successfully" message, so this should be a clue to them that there is such a problem.

Really its not a bug of sliced items.

There is a bug, that items become invisable in your inventory / backpack.

Sometimes logging out, and coming back fixes, sometimes it doesn't.

Other times, had to wait till after server reset to see it again.

PS - Its an old bug,that has been around a long time, just not a very common bug, but happens at times

Yeah my house is near a server boundary so everything I retrieve out of my house ghosts. Its just a simple ghosting bug

I actually lost a backpack for _months_ that way. It poofed in july, I went on about my life, replaced my gear, and forgot it. After christmas I happened to have unloaded everything in my inventory and was down to maybe 3 spaces filled. Upon relogin I noticed I had a backpack, which hadn't been on me before.
When I looked in it I found all my favorite gear from july (which 6 months later sucked, btw).
It was most amusing.
