Well...here's the lowdown on what's happening.

First...let's remember that the producers are mostly the expansion pushers...not the developers.

Aight

They are wanting to release the expansion because it's a form of money. They don't care about how unstable or buggy it is or how broken the professions are. Once the expansion is released, they may lose a few long time suscribers, but they gain a whole new crowd...and the best part is...this crowd doesn't know about the BS that has gone on since release. To this new crowd, the game is already "set" and is being added to. Once they get all their money money money, there's not much left to do and they'll finally started working on the bugs itself IF they don't plan on working on another expansion.

They believe on making the walls of the huge mansion first to make it look pretty to all the neighbors, and THEN filling it with funiture. However, by that time...often the game starts to become obsolete. EQ2, WoW, CoH are coming/has come out. However, SoE made their money, so they are happy. They'll still have suscribers, as always, and that is "just enough" for them.

They have lied, broken promises, and have done very little to correct serious things needing addressed. The aim is simply for profit, and nothing more. Sadly, I wouldn't be suprised if SWG will reach a total failure shortly after the expansion is released. After all, that's the big $$$ climax and after that...it's just fixing things that should have already been fixed.

*sigh*

Thats what happens when you put bean counters in charge . Who gives a $hit if it works, because they wont know until they buy it and then we have their money so screw 'em. Customer service? what customer service. We don't need no stinkin customer service.

The EULA says you can return the product to any store if you're not satisfied with the product. No stores will accept them so better to send them to SOE. Let the company pay back their subscribers.

Maybe SOE really doesn't care. EQ2 is coming out and most of the people that leave SWG will go play EQ2, not me I'm heading for City of Heros. And guess what SOE doesn't have to share any of it's money with LucasArts on EQ2. :sadsmuggler:
