Like everyone else in the smuggler forum I too am considering cancelling my account today. I'd like to suggest a way of partially salvaging this mess.

I'ma project engineer in my real life and I can understand why schedules change and priorities shift. In the end it requires reallocation of resources, both people and equipment. Where we seem to be now is that other tasks considered more critical for whatever reasons need the resources assigned to our revamp in order to make their deadlines. When I read the wonderful community revamp documents in process I can see why the Dev team has decided to put us off past the space expansion. Smuggling just makes more sense to them in that context and doesn't require so much reprogramming of the live ground game. Whythen assign so many resources to a revamp that at its core will be rendered either redundant or irrelavent once JTL comes out? We will never be happy with a revamp that doesn't involve smuggling being added so then its back in the development queue after space.

Not everything in the community revamp document is such a big deal and any of the points will make our profession more fun. Such as new dirty fighting moves, making existing spices more powerful or removing the faction point purchase cap.

So I ask the Devs to read the final revamp document and really think through what parts of it can be done in the very near term with very comparably few resources. Hand the smuggler community back a list of these items and let us just pick three of them that you will then garrentee will be implemented within the next couple of publishes. (Get extra points with us and let us pick five, heh.)

Show us that the dedication and the hard work of the smuggler community is appreciated. Give us something besides "No Revamp for You!!".
