made myself some dagger crates as an easy way to grind slicing then realised that I had not seen them on the bazaar. Do others think they might be useful? Can sell em on Farstar if ppl think they would help.

I always see people selling crates of weapons for grinding Slicing. I'm sure you could make a few credits doing it, but I doubt it's lucrative enough to make a living on.

Its not as a mws I can attest to that. Since the items are basically garbage people just see no value in paying you fair value for the effort taken to make them. Here is what I usually ended up telling people that were looking to get fast weapons sliceing xp. Thugs drop weapons. Its just as easy to stockpile the weapons as it is to stockpile locked containers while getting the pistol xp.

If your looking to sell the good thing try selling molecular clamps. This way your not competeing with artisans and weaponsmiths to sell a product. The fact of the matter is without them your going to spend twice as long on your sliceing, and its going to cost you more. Result people will actually pay you a fair price for the product perhaps a little more for the convenience.

When hologrinding was big, and smuggler was a more valid profession sure you could sell crates of weapons and do well. Sadly the fact that all the elite crafters can make them. Really makes a non valuable item even more so.

By the way if you are a weaponsmith you will do well selling wuks aswell.

just try to be reasonable on your pricing... One vendor had clamps at 20k a crate, then I found another at 2k..

That's the route I went when I did Slicing XP, since if you do missions of NPC thugs you can earn some extra spending money while you're at it.

What effort?

Takes all of 16 (?) units of metal to make a survival knife ... and you can use the crappiest 1-2cpu stuff you can find.

And it takes maybe 10 seconds to make a schem for 1000 of them (no experimenting needed).

So...16k-32k creds for an entire 40 crate run...sell those 40 crates for 2500 each...that turns into about a 60k profit after you figure in factory maintenance and power...

Sixty thousand is by far not a major profit. In the time you jam a factory up with garbage daggers you could be makeing something more valuable, and atleast more rewarding. I can also tell you that a smuggler store will sell out of molecular clamps in a heartbeat as compared to crates of knives. Most crafters can make sixty thousand credits on a high end item. One item for sixty k eats up far less space then twenty crates of survival knives.

The facts are simple once a player fails to slice three containers they really start to fiend for molecular clamps. Nobody wants to spend twelve hours trying to reach master slicer when it could be done in three. Garbage weapons can be stripped off the bizarre. Molecular clamps are harder to come by.

Yeah you can make credits selling anything. Is it really worth the time is another story. Especially when there are higher profit margin items out there. Items that take even less time but can make you a tidy profit things like wound packs powerups molecular camps upgrade kits. Hell there is a market for camps in a crate. Might shock you but you can make money off those too.

I will tell you one thing I made a hell of alot more selling crates of molecular clamps compared to selling crates of weapons to slice. I sold out a fifty crate run of those once in twenty minutes. Other master smugglers will even buy crates of molecular clamps.

The point is since the poster is a smuggler he should make real smuggler goods that will fetch him more money then crates of survival knives will. Leave the crates of low level weapons to the others. Everyone can make them only smugglers can make clamps.
