Common griefing tactic to feigned death person is to kindly rid them of armor condition while they lie there.

if you stay on the ground feigning death with armor equiped.... your ennemies can make it reach 0 condition if they have 3 hours to spend hitting you (but they will also make their own weapons decay if they are not using unarmed attacks)
Nothing else does decays when feigning

You should be more worried about why you are wearing armor while fighting a jedi. If the opponet has a LS take it off! Then it doesn't matter. To answer your question tho...yes it does lose condition, and it can be done if 15min or less by a TKM with VKs. It is a greif tactic tho, and often times, if you can get a CSR on site quickly, they will move the griefer out of the area for you and prevent anymore condition loss...assuming it isnt too late.

I've been a master smuggler for the last 8+ months and for some reason this question has never popped into my mind.
Since a smuggler's HAM can be damaged while using FD, will this also cause decay on armor equipped? Lets say a MBH uses feign death to avoid death by a jedi. If the jedi keeps draining HAM pools and if armor decays durring, there wouldn't be much left - would there?

Nah I don't think it falls under griefing, as said by others if you file a ticket the csr will just say you didn't fool them... D'oh!

One thing I could never understand about FD... why can the enemy still attack? I mean, it's supposed to make you look "dead", so the enemy should automatically think you are dead. Perhaps the game makes you unattackable for awhile. I mean, with FD you're basically just lying there andshouting "damage my armor and kill me while I rest here!"
It's really only good for PvE as for as I've seen...

Please.
When in pvp, you generally only have to wear Helmet, chest, gloves and boots.
Clear the combat cue, pop off the helmet or chest, maybe even both if you have the time THEN feign death.
..or be a man and take it

It seems I was given a one star for a legit question?
Not sure what galaxies everyone plays on, but. Jedi do pvp outside of bounty hunting. It isn't all that rare to see jedi in theed or participating in a base take down/protection. This means that there will be plenty who are not jedi, thus giving reason to wear armor. Hence the question relating to sabers, feign death, and armor decay.
I don't agree with the way smuggler feign death works. While it is more then obvious when a smuggler feigns, the PC's/toons should not be aware of such. The real person is aware, not the character. Most smugglers I see who feign death are constantly attacked or given numerous DOT's. I fully expect this to happen with the way FD is currently set up. I fully expect someone to grief a smuggler who has feigned because they are aware that the smuggler has feigned.
In fact, I don't recall a smuggler who has feigned in combat, who hasn't been attacked constantly. I have seen jedi attack FD smugglers. This is why I asked the question regarding FD and sabers. Sure, I could report whoever. But as I said, with FD set up as it is, I expect to get nailed because the person is aware of the feign.
