There should be an option to put rewards on the head of other players!!! Their name should appear in the bounty hunter terminals That would be AWESOME!!! You could even write a description as to why you wish him/her to be hunted down

that guys a real turd burglar only a true loser would rob someone playing a game. Ask him if he start his life of crime taking candy from babys. I would make it a point to hire 3 or 4 combat kids (the obnoxious kind) paythem a lot of money to stalk him and kill him every time he logs in for a month or 2 or 3. I hate hearing about stuff like this. People like you loser theif rune the game for people and should be griefed until they leave.Good luck to you...

Restrictions on trading between two players is one of the most nonsensical things this game has.

My greetings,

My apologies for the off-topic post. Knowing full well that many of you do not play on Bria, I'd like to share this with the professions of SWG.

What I'm about to tell you was stupid, was idiotic, was something that many of you will think to yourself, "Good lord, man, you should have known better." And you'd be right. Why am I sharing this with you? Because I want to remind everyone of the wide assortment of real life personalities that exist in SWG. That, while a game, SWG has real people that populate the servers. Most of those people are quite friendly, courteous individuals. Please take what you will from this story. I know I certainly learned a lesson.

Someone I considered an in-gamefriend came to me asking for some schematics to help him master Armorsmith. My alt has the necessary tailor skills to craft the cloths he needed and, being a friend, I agreed to make the schematics.

While waiting, I chatted with a guildmate. It wasn't long before he showed up at the shuttleport and we attempted a trade, realizing at this time he was an overt imperial and I was a neutral. Not a problem, we'll go to my house, I'll give him admin access, he can drop the necessary resources, I'll craft the schems, log my imperial character and trade the schems throughhim.

Why did I think this was the best method? The player I considered a friend plays on dialup. Rather than trading through the imperial character twice, it seemed more expedient to allow him admin access to drop the resources and trade through the imperial character only once.

Upon arriving at my house, he began to look around. I have a fairly nice collection of paintings on the wall, a few moderately rare items on display including a force crystal and an ATST suit. I was rather proud of my little collection. It wasn't anything to rival some of the museums on Bria, but I thought it was rather nice. As a rather new player, naturally I assumed he was checking the place out. Little did I know, that's exactly what was happening.

The guildmate I was speaking with earlier dropped by needing a Swoop and, him having all the resources on hand, I was more than happy to help him out. I prefer to keep to a line of sorts, wanting to finish up with my friend's schematics before crafting the Swoop. After a few minutes of him running around, me trying to get him to drop the resources, him asking what resources, me looking it up in the crafting tool, he said he had to log. Well, okay then. I'll do it when he get's back.

In the basement of my Tatooine house, I keep my crafting stations. I and my guildie run downstairs and I whip uphis Swoop (59% durability, bah) run upstairs and, for the first time realize that just about everything of any rarity in my house was gone.

Did I send him a tell? Absolutely. In fact, I admit I used words the forums regularly edit out. I even got a response. Except for the curse, verbatum:

- "ya i kinda actd like a--hole"

- "well g'luck"

- "/tiphat"

I'm not going to ask people to shun thaed stormlight. I'm not going to ask people to grief him. In fact, I want nothing more from this post than to remind everyone that real people inhabit our fictional world, that every personality imaginable exists within it's electronic borders. My thanks to you for reading this lengthy post. Good luck and May the Force be with you.

Things like this are bannable offences. the /report command is designed specifically for this. The individual admitted to ripping you off, at that point you type:

"/report [first name of offending character]; /denyservice [first name of offending character]; /addignore [first name of offending character]"

Follow this up with a community standards Customer Service ticket, in which you state the exact circumstances of the theft, and specifically mention the /report you have sent in. Also mention that the /report should show (in the previous 100 lines of spatial) the agreement you had with the thief, the conversation after, and that he clearly admits to wrong doing. Provided the statements regarding the reason he had access and his admition to guilt are in the prior 100 lines, SOE will suspend or cancell their account and possibly return your items. If there is no admition of guilt, on can be obtained by you or someone you know- that person can then fill out a /report and CS ticket for you, with an additional CS ticket of your own.

I myself have been ripped off in the past- the only way to get closure is to capture an admission of guilt in a report.

If you don't want me to "play the forums," then I suggest you make time playing the game more rewarding and less repetitive than "playing" here!

Similar thing happened to me just a month ago. I have one of my brother's characters on my admin list. Well my bro likes to give his passwords out (I'll grind your character if you'll grind mine kind of deal). Never told me he was doing this. Walk in my house one day and all my single force crystals are gone. I have no hard evidence but the dude that had access to my bro's account made an offer on the crystals just days before they disappeared (I turned him down). Think we all know what happened. I admit they never would have been more than decorations but that doesn't change anything.

This same dude "borrowed" the guild +25 med experimentation robe without asking. Still got to deal with him on a regular basis cause for some reason that is beyond me he's "contributing to our city".

You dont know the people you're playing with. If you like your stuff - keep it on lockdown. Sad but true.

Well said. I typically have my RL Wife on my admin lists and nothing else. And if she robs me...well that's a different story lol. Even if you play with a group of people for a long time, you really don't know them. If you have something that multiple need admin access too, throw down a second house and put it up as storage, small house goes for sale in bazars at times for 6k.

My old college roommate's charactersand my alt are the only ones on my admin lists.I was best man at that roommate's wedding, but I still get nervous about him having access!

Dam I feel for you. I have a collection too that I like to go stare at when I'm bored, ones a Gamorean battle axe with a 28% dmg slice. Some crystals. Paintings. Dam thats harsh and his name should be known. Cause those items are got through alot of PvE.

Funny I should read this cause a new player was asking for admin rights last night at my house. But at the last moment I remembered my storage house. I almost trusted him, he seemed like a sincere player that just really wanted /move some furniture around. But in the end I let him move into the storage house. I almost went ahead and let him in the museum but something in the back of my mind said no.

This gives me an idea right now of a good way to test someones character- setup a "screening" house with some things that seem valuable, but arent that really. Like bunk armor attachments, maybe a krayt dragon painting, poisonous CDEF, hyper drive part, any kind of bait your willing to loose to test their character before hand.

Ouch. That really sucks.

Thanks for sharing, though. It's a good reminder to us all that greed can never be underestimated.
