there has to be a better way of gaining slicing xp then slicing terminals for 100 xp every 2 min

is there a trick or is there a type of terminal that i can slice. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Slice containers in the meantime.

Another option is to slice the terminal, take a mission on the 1st screen and go do it. By the time you get back you can slice again. Repeat ad nauseum. This way, you get some slicing XP, have a chance to get more containers (depending on the missions taken), and get some more of that yummy pistol XP needed for the other trees. Oh, and cash. Cash is good.

What I use to do was hang out near the bank in Moenia. There are three places nearby where thugs constantly respawn, all near a mission terminal to slice, while being close enough to the bank to check the bazaar for any containers for sale. You're also close to the starport and cantina if you want to spam a bit too.

If you don't want to run missions just advertise for containers while you wait for the 2min to go away. I've gotten some that way but I also ran missions to get the Pistol XP
