First of all, I am writing this post quickly before work so I dont have allot of time to do spell checking, editing, etc.
Secondly, after hearing all the posts about how weak smugglers, pistoleer etc are in PVP I was not expecting to be able to do anything useful and was really just planning to stick it out until the combat revamp. This post is not designed piss off all the people whoinsist we are worthless in PVP, it is just to emphasize that you can have a very successful PVP experience as triple master.
I joined an elite PVP guild. I hung out with the guys for a while on teamspeak, and they eventually invited me to the guild despite the fact that I was not one of the templates they were looking for. (They were looking for riflemen/cm or riflemen doc templates)
Well I was wonderful in the groups (fan shot with geo)but my real surprise was in 1 vs 1 and 1 vs many encounters. I died 3 times this weekend after a full weekend of PVP, once vs a heavy swordsman when I was unbuffed and not wearing armor (not prepared for PVP)
The second time was vs a Jedi but I did not really die, (I fiended he did not know what to do so he left)
Third time was against a cm/rifleman (in theed) who I had just killed a few minutes ago (yes 1 vs 1) and popped out the cloner, declared and got me while I was still meditating and healing from the previous encounter.
Lets start out by saying that I started out the weekend trying to focus on TKM whichwas worthless for most PVP, i was not able to do what I thought I could... found it very difficult to land intimidate. When that was not going anywhere I switched to my geo and that is where the money was at. I first took out a Master Pistoleer/BH with a GEO spamming eyeshot on people, much to his surprise.
I know my general fighting technique is simple but it got more sophisticated later. I start out spamming last ditch until I get a good stun on them. At this point they are not hitting me much so then I mix in a few lowblows, or posture changesalways running in close range around my target. If i can get a lunge or posture change, I switch to TK and intimidate. Then it is purely last ditch until I take them out by health. If they keep healing their mind will get low then I switch to TK and do mind hits on them to finish them off. (Keep in mind that last ditch sometimes hits mind as well.)
Here are the templates I defeated in 1 vs 1:
2 different Pistoleer/BH's
1 master heavy sword/doc
1 heavy sword (dont know what else)
1 fencer/rifleman with med skills
1 CM/Rifleman (i could not believe it either)
At one time I got jumped with 6 people on me and I took them all out with fan shot, switching to TK to finish off (think most were unbuffed, I got jumped in bestine starport right as the rest of my guild left on the shuttle.) and i had synthsteak. I thought I was surely dead but I took out all 6 of them and deathblowed them all and caught the shuttle.
The most exciting was the encounter with rifleman/cm. We had taken over theed and had been there a while.Imps pretty muchs topped coming. I was not paying attention to group chat (was talking to my girlfriend) and next think I knew all my group had left (went on starport). So here comes this rifleman CM after me.
I started hitting him with lowblows and closed the range. I get the message that I was poisoned and diseased. I had about 3500,3500, 3500. (Doc buffs, dancer buffs, 2 nice brandies, synthsteak and powerboosted)
he was doing no damage to me at firstbecause of synsteak and 45% stun armor along with the fact that he was stunned from last ditch. My last ditch kept chewing through his health with the occasional mind hit. He had to keep healing further taking down his mind. By the end of this I was getting low on mind and so was he, him being rifleman I knew he had the advantage so I fiend death. He ran up to me to deathblow, but I used FOW and got back to full health/action/mind where I quickly finished him off with unarmed head hit 1. I /deathblow and meditate off poison/disease.
He ran out of cloner straight over to recruiter and came back while I was still trying to get disease off. My synthsteak had been used up and his headshots were very strong so I was a sitting duck there meditated.
Oh well I was just reveling in the fact that I killed so many templates who i was not supposed to be able to beat. My geo is roughly 200-400.
This is not to say we are uber at PVP or cannot be beat by other templates, it is just to give some hope to others who depressed thinking that we are worthless in PVP.
Have fun!!!

Well stated. I agree. It might not be the "uber" template but I think its alot of fun and can be effective in pvp

I Remember Master Pistoleer+Master Smuggler was pretty effective by itself, add TKM and I bet thats one resourcefull fighter.
My current template is Master Smuggler, Pistoleer 0044, Master DE?! Not particularly effective but real fun to surprise people with my little MSE friends...

welcome to the arena.
My template is master rifleman / pistoleer 0/0/4/4 / master smuggler
I use geo and pistoleer/smuggler shots for close combat and RIfle for ranged and Iprovide my share of cloning

I'm closing in on my triple, and I already like it very much. The main downside/upside is the variety of things to do--there are so many options for attacks and whatnot, that it takes practice to get it all down so that it's useable quickly and efficiently.
Also, smuggler is great for roleplaying--it comes so easily and naturally with that profession.

The people that say triple master is not a good template just don't know how to PvP full stop. That's why they go rifleman/cm becuase it requires no skill what so ever. Personal I think that triple master is one of the top templates going. It's fun, requires skill and you can take nearly everything someone throws at you and shrug it off. And those uber fencers stacker can't believe it when you take them down
Just one note, your using last ditch to get a stun. That's fine at distance but if you get close enough I use unarmedstun to get it hit on. Read my guide for a few more tips on PvPing witht he triple master, you can find the sticky in my sig. Personaly I use TKM more than I do pistoleer but that's just my playing style
