anyone have advice for ( or even IF ) i need to pick up a pistoleer tree to get fast pisol exp for smuggler? I plan on doing TKA4/0/0/4 and master swordsmen not overly interested in pistoleer just need advice on BEST(most helpful)pistoleer tree.

don't need it but smuggler's specials are pretty much worthless without it. If your planing on going some other combat profession then don't worry about it just focus on pistol xp.

Well, I did all my Smuggler and Pistoleer experience on Dantooine, using Point Blank Area 1 on Huurton Stalker lairs. I found PBA1 was even faster than Fan Shot for my intents and purposes. I'm willing to bet you'd need Novice Pistoleer at the most for Smuggler pistols if you're using a decent weapon.

I would pick it up personally, if just to get through the smuggler tree. The accuracy and speed mods will help you a great deal, as will the addition of a gun with acid dmg if you enjoy certain types of game for XP

/agree totally, the difference of xp you get with the better pistols and +mods is worth it. Then you can just drop it later as needed.

If you don't plan on keeping pistoleer, then I say no. Seems like a waste todump the pistol xp into pistoleer, just to gain pistol xp faster to dump back into smuggler. Seems like you would be better off just putting it intosmuggler in the first place.

My usual advice for aspiring smugglers that ask for it is to pick up novice pistoleer as soon as possible on the way to smuggler. For 125K pistol xp, you get 2 good pistol certs and HS2 with its awesome DPS. 125K is nothing if it speeds up the 1950K pistol xp you need for smuggler.
