Hi all.

I mastered yesterday and promptly had my alt set up my speed/damage sliced vendors and my spice pusher. All are somewhat stocked now with more on the way.

Do you all have a pricing scheme?

I am familiar enough with things like Rifles/PowerHammers/and VKs because those are things that I have bought on my main and know what they can go for.

Other weapons are somewhatless clearon price though

Any input would be appreciated.

250 credits per percent. Under 20% usually free, and yes, I know there's no reason to do that, but it makes my customers happy. It's my compromise. I don't do containers.

If i understand right, the orignal poster is wondering how much to charge for the sliced weapons on his/her vendor.

Good question.

If i slice a T-21 i know roughly what i could ask for it depending on the slice.

I am familiar with this weapon simply because ive shopped around for them in the past.

Obviously a poor slice will greatly devalue the weapon.

A good slice will greatly increase its value

Does anyone have a rough formula for working out the value of the altered weapon?

Depends..

If I'm comissioned for a particular item (32+ damage sliced T-21, for example), I'll charge double the number of rifles/slices it took me to get the rifle. Some people get lucky, some don't. (Of course, I do ask for 100k up front - and refund unused portions)

For sliced items sold on a trade forum or in /auction, I charge item cost x slice/5 pct. (30,000cr Troll T-21 x7 for a 35 damage slice, as an example, for a total of 210,000cr). They sell eventually.

There are so many variables to a question like this that the best service I could do for you is to list what variables I can think of, and tell you how to possibly put a value on them.

The biggest variable is most likely simply your server. Each server's economy and resources are different. Slices are the same, but you have a base weapon price, plus your slicing markup. Make sure your base prices are competitive and people will enjoy the additional charge for the slice.

Another variable is what type of weapon it is. You can slice a gazillion modified republic blasters and not even a 35% dmg slice will be worth the same amount as a 25%dmg slice on a T21.

Also, is your weapon enhanced? On Ahazi, a regular, unsliced VK can go for somewhere between 4k and 10k, depending on the WS who sells them. Stick a Nym Vibro Unit in there, and they're much more expensive. Get a 30-35% dmg slice on a Nym Enhanced VK and you can easily sell it for into the millions (220+ max dmg). An NS vibro enhanced VK would be even better, but those are much more rare.

Do you make your own knives and clamps? How much $$ do you put into those tools?

How much are you buying your WUKs/AUKs for? Divide whatever a full crate costs by 25, and add at LEAST that amount to your price ... the more markups the better of course.

How many bad (under 20%, although no matter what the slice, it's still an improvement) slices did you chance upon?

Last but not least, how much is your time worth to you? Most people don't realize that they can easily rationalize adding price to their items based on how long it takes to slice multiple weapons, to get just the right ones.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for the input guys.

After spending quite a bit of time with this last night I decided that for now I would only slice/sell the items to which I had an idea what their value may be to people.

As I mentioned up top I started with powerhammers, VKs and laser rifles (with a few pistols mixed in). I got some 35% slices (damage and speed) on some powerhammers that resulted in 625 damage and plenty that resulted in 610 or so. These were off of factory crated PH's that I was lucky to find on a nearby vendor.

I know that while playing my main, I was perfectly happy paying 500k or so for these so that is what they ended up going on the vendor for.

They may not sell fast, but I suspect they will definitely sell.

I also started my spice pusher and sold a few crates of pixie for 10k after loading the vendor an hour or so earlier. It isn't big money but I got an absolutely kick out of dressing the vendor all shady and giving him "pusher" vocalizations
