revenge of the sith, aka ep3 is set to debut on may 13 ( or sometime in may) of 05, i'm as always excited but in some way afraid it will suck. many people say attack of the clones sucked, which it did mainly because of 1 reason, it wasnt like the original movies, here's why, THEY HAD NO BADASS!
Alright, big G lucas made this movie when he was being educated by joseph cambell, his beautiful ep 4 was a "cambellian myth" meaning that there was a main character who everyone could relate to, (aka luke) who sought help from a mystical figure (obi wan), had some comical friends (3po and r2, who were actually lucas' take on gay humor) and there was the "swashbuckuler" rouge-type character who was always the badass, had his gun loaded and a witty comment to say (you're gonna die here, convienent?/ how ya doin? same as usual.... Oh...that bad?")(han). ep 1/2 had no "swashbuckler"
unfortunatley many of the people who watched the movies wanted to become the knight in armour who seeks the training and rescues the damsel and pwz0rz the deathstar. that's why Ep 1/2 sucked it so hard, because now it's just about some ***hole whiny little beyotch running around saying "omg i own you" and then getting his ass handed to him by obi wan, who is cool, but really not our "swashbuckler". lucas needed to add a character to the movies that would see the "young gun" screw up and give him hell for it and tell him his own little philosophy "aka caylins sig quote". i doubt lucas will realize that teh cambellian myth was what made starwars so cool (well next to that seen where han takes that wrong turn, runs into like 20 stormies, screams and blasts one and RsLH away).
anyone else think lucas needs to watch his original series again (and not the one on dvd damnit)?
I'm asking you guys this because you and i and are the "swashbucklers", i mean hell, i bought this game so i could be just like my favoriate character from teh golden trilogy (i'll give you a hint, he wasnt a panzy :smileywink
so i assume none of you really wanna see TONS of jedi crapola the whole movie, sure jedis made the series better than most sci-fi movies, but what would i rather see, a smuggler in a dock DUAL WEILDING pistols in a frantic gunfight to get to his ship or a jedi walk into a room full of whatever the hell they're gonna fight and deflect their lazers and just raip them with a flourescent light that melts stuff? So basically we have the same definition of COOL, so tell me do you think the movie will be cool? naturally all of the jedi on the forums will either say "OMG YES!!!1!11one!!!" or "omg no it dont have my charact3r pwnz0ri/\/g ppl in T3h comp!" so i came here first...

I am waiting in line right now for episode 3... well maybe not but I cant wait. I am going to go ahead and assume that georgehas it under crontrol and not worry. I dont like to know to much about the movie before I see it but I will end up hearing stuff nevertheless.

Best thing about Episode 3 - the Jedi purge. I'm going to be cheering like a madman when all those Jedi go belly up.

The jedi purge in EP3 was rewritten when GL heard about what is happening in SWG. Also, the 6 DVD set due out after EP3 is being redigitized to have no less than 5 jedi in the background in each and every scene, in order to reconcile continuity with SWG.

LOL! And don't forget the Stormtroopers will no longer be carrying E11's, but now T21's and Scatter Pistols. (Extra bonus for every Chef's hat you see in the background).

Don't forget the hawtpants!!!! There will be at least one scene with hawtpants! Also, there will be a mass dancing scene in the streets of Naboo.

Interesting that you put these ideas on today, i had a post that i called Good vs. Evil about a very similar idea. Lucas may have been Campbell's "best student" but he seems to have forgottenhis studies inthe intervening decades.
