Hi,
I'm thinking of placing a small mineral farm and I'd like to know if there is any metal that we cannot use to craft our tools and spices? When it comes to metals and ores I find that I can place most types into my smuggler schematics, but the shear volume of resource types and the specificity of the schematic make me nervous.

Careful with the molecular clamps. At least one of the three components requires NON-FERROUS metal, which means no iron or steel. Easiest solution is to use Copper and Aluminum for everything.

And remember ... quality does NOT matter

Quality does not matter at all, except for my own personal gratification. I bought 100k of copper for 100k that's overall quality was bunk, but the conductivity was 940ish. I used it all and liked it and can smile now that I have 80 crates of clamps with a 93% effectiveness, just in case it ever starts to matter.

They couldn't make quality matter on clamps otherwise it would defeat the 100% accuracy (the whole reason for clamps) that we get now with clamps.

Again, Way'ev-Da is right on point. My guild has come to understand that I am a true copper fiend. Good, bad, high OQ, low cond, etc. It doesn't matter. I use copper for everything. Copper for clamps, knives, survival knives, armor and weapon upgrade kits, spice, etc. You can't go wrong with copper.

I agree, there are times you want to go for quality. On the one day crafting nerf, I went for quality and actually made 100% tools. I made 1000 Clamps and PLKs all at 100% and even made some Flow Analyzers just for sh!ts and giggles.
