Greetings friends!

Its finally happened. After more thana year, I finally dropped Master Smuggler and within a week I will have dropped the profession entirely.

Firstly, let me just say that I love this profession and more than that I love the smuggler community. We have a great group of people here. The profession itself is great fun to play, especially if it is something you wanted (and not something you did as part of the hologrind). I knew from the moment I first bought the game that Smuggler was the profession I wanted. Lets face it - Han, Chewie, Talon Karrde and co. are some of the coolest characters in the Star Wars universe and being a Smuggler in-game just had a similar appeal.

However, the time has come for me to finally hang up my scoundrel boots. The reason that i'm giving up the profession is that after a year it's become a case of TOO much or MOTS day-in day-out. Another major reason is that, again, after a year there hasn't been anything done to enhance the profession. We have instead had skills nerfed or just made useless. Yes, I know that there is a revamp out there but lets face it - it isn't going to come our way for a long long time. JTL is yet to be released. After that we will have months worth of fixes for all the problems that come with JTL. Heh, I would be surprised if the revamp comes about by this time NEXT YEAR

Anyways, I just wanted to get all of that out of the way. The main reason that I posted this thread is to give my props to all you guys in the Smuggler community. I was very good friends in-gamewith electricnomad who was one of the most well known guys in our community and it was he who enticed me to keep coming here and I am glad I did. There is no other profession that has such great members who have been through all of the crap the devs throw at us and STILL find the patience to post incredibly long and well thought out posts regarding our profession.

A few guys i'd like to mention:

electricnomad - As I said, great voice for us smugglers and great guy to know in general. I still fondly remember our raids on Fort tusken

Calyin - What else can I say, except that you are the best correspondent any profession has ever had. Great job mate!

Lodek Dall - Another great correspondent. You arrived out of nowhere but your hard work was evident and you did a good job.

And on the flip-side we have...

SanTsu - LOL, our first correspondent... or atleast the first that I remember. You were just really bad at it and i'm just glad you left. Nuf' said.

And to the rest of you guys... keep posting, keep posting, keep posting. We're bound to get listened to sometime.

Take care all!

Cant say I'll will miss you.

I find it funny that you feel the need to insult me. You might think I sucked but I can tell you more was done for Smugglers while I was correspondent then has been done since. Im not saying the other correspondents didnt do a good job but there havent been alot of results.

Lets not open this again. We dont need to bicker internally.

As far as any correspondent getting results - that is ALL in the hands of the developers. A correspondent can only relay information. He can't force anyone to work on the info.

Zero Props for the needless swipe at San-Tsu. Utterly classless. Good Riddance.

Have fun Cshauny, enjoy the world outside of the smuggler profession. You are always welcome in these forums though, your insight and opinions still mean much...

Hey... what's going on here?

Ok ok, i'm big enough to admit that it was a needless swipe at SanTsu. My apologies sir. My personal feelings towards you shouldn't have been brought into this.

Honestly, I looked that over two times when writing that post because I had a feeling that something wasn't right. Heh, thing is i've always confused your name with a gal I know IRL whose name is 'Caitlyn'. LOL, probably one of the reasons why I intially thought you were female

I'm gonna get Last Ditched for that last one aren't I?
