First off, Mr Solo was a theif

Might I remind you off the milennium falcon?


secondly, R2 was a law obiding rebel droid I am a bad imperial, you do the math.

What about the falcon made him a thief? He was a smuggler, he transported mainly for Jabba the hutt. Were he to have stolen the spice he transported it would have been a thief but he did not.

yes, and winning a sabacc game doesn't make you a thief, at least i hope, because if so i'm a most wanted one

Yes, he won the Falcon from Lando in the big Sabaac tournament on Bespine/Cloud City.

At least that's what it says happened in the EU book.

By the way, I highly recommend the Han Solo Trilogy... It's by A.C. Crispin

There's three books:

The Paradise Snare

The Hutt Gambit

Rebel Dawn


Light reading, but a lot of fun. Esentially deals with Han's life from birth, up to the time of ANH.
