Thread: I actually smuggled in Galaxies...

I'm totally stoked about it and it was way fun. I won't harp on the fact that this content is open to potentially anyone in the game because I've already done that.
Working for the smugglers alliance. Some Rodian On DAthomor needs some stuff picked up from a freighter and delivered to another in another system. He calls me smuggler I like that. So do the Imps that chase me down...
Pop in ...dock...pick up the package. Head out with a small squadron and get jumped by tons of TIE's...the high tier fast ones too. Have to weave through them for about 9 or 10k and find my mark. Freighter floating in space. Ask my buddies to hold off the TIE's while I drop off the package. Chaos...blaster fire...noise... I dock as quickly as possible and drop off the package. Spice for Jabba if I remember correctly... The freighter gets the stuff and jumps to lightspeed. We finish off the TIE's and mission accomplished.
It was so fuuuuunnnnn.....

Just from the amount of excitement this single little mission is generating maybe SOE will figure out that being able to Smuggle things is something Smugglers genuinely want eh?

If this was the first mission for your tier 4 box, I did that one myself, hehe. My guild is strictly imperial, I am the ONLY privateer above the first tier atm. I had to run, fast. Used all my tricks available. IFF scramble, some where still after me. Engine overload 3 - In rp aspects, my "stolen" imperial programs. Boosters. I outran them to the next ship

and yet this mission is in privateer, whereby non smugglers can do something that should be limited to our profession ? i like that its there but not the fact that ANYONE can do something we have been wanting to do for a year :grumble grumble:

I feel w/ ya, lol, im not a smuggler atm. I'm gonna regrind it after I master pilot.

Cool....I'm currently busting out smuggler, and am a part of the Smugglers Alliance, so an actual smuggling type mission is cool.

I would be interested to hear if non-smugglers get the same "I'll have a smuggling mission for you soon," dialogue that the Selonian at Talus station offers, or if they get something else, or nothing at all.

i doubt the devs went to such lentghs as to create 2 seperate missions depending if you were a smuggler or not. I mean god forbid, it actually looks and sounds like .........:whispers: smuggler content

I believe you can only talk to the Selonian at Talus station if you have the Underworld skill from Smuggler.
It looks like it is a "hint" at things to come for the Smuggler profession, I hope.

From what I gather, no one can even understand the Selonian unless you have 100 languages...which only smugglers get. Albeit at an incredibly low level, but smuggler is smuggler and a novice should have the same opportunites to smuggle...just not the skill to succeed as much. It just makes sense.
