Heya!
I keep reading how "nothing, absolutly nothing changed in the last year for Smugglers, nothing was fixed or added, nothing at ALL" or variation thereof.
Mind you, I DO understand the bitterness and all. But I figured, holiday season and all, let's start a thread about what DID changed for the better in our profession in the last year. Precious few to be thankful about, but it is something, no? Feel free to corect me if I get stuff wrong, or to add stuff.
In no particular order...
1- Useless experimentation interface removed from our stuff.
2- Imperial crackdown! Ok so it should be stronger, but once in a while everyone get searched for contraband and we almost always evade it.
3- Bomb droids. The use of bomb droids is real fun. Was added in game I think when they did the DE revamp. It is specific to us and BHs.
4- The pu exploit is fixed!!!!! that's something that have been getting on the nerves of numerous Smugglers for a long time, and it is fixed.
5- Jawa trader mini game. I think it was an interesting idea, but instead of ending up with a bunch of junk dealers giving almost nothing, I would have liked Jawa giving missions. A mini theme park, maybe? But anyway, it was something added, a creative use of our "language comprehension" skill.
Am I missing stuff, that actually was not there at launch and got added? Positive stuff I mean. Not that I am blind to the negative stuff and problems, but they are very easy to see in so many threads, I do not feel the need to rehash them here.

I said "positive".
Plenty of threads around about allllll the stuff that is wrong and bugged and missing.
I want one wee tiny little bit of a positive thread for the holidays.

Needless to say, the "positives" are less than mediocre...
And the list of "negatives" is immensely longer...
The MOST positive thing that I can say has changed is the fix for P-up slicing. Other than that, it's all just kinda... "blah"...

Strangely enough, I don't want to be Han Solo. I want to be me. Which is part of the reason I went for Alliance pilot. I don't want to fly a YT-1300 and be another Han Solo in the galaxy. I want to be Degwin Tze'Midak, a Twi'lek smuggler who's trying to find a way to get his sisters back from Jabba the Hutt, bring an end to the Empire, try to find out about his parents, all while doing his best to hide his deformities (spelling?)and find a way to cure them.

I looked through some old patch notes to make this list(doesn't include the ones already listed in this thread).
* Increased the damage and the action cost of the /lastditch smuggler attack.
* Weapon slicing no longer has a chance of slowing a weapon down. It now properly speeds the weapon up.
* You can now /feigndeath while running and walking.
* The damage penalty for taking a hit while using /feigndeath has been reduced by a significant amount.
* Slicing IV has been fixed so that it has the appropriate bonus.
*/delegateFactionPoints command added. The conversion ratio is based on the delegating players rank(Made us able to sell faction)
* Locked loot crates now indicate whether they are sliceable or not when examined.
* Slicing options will no longer show up erroneously on non-armor clothing.
* Sliced armor and weapons: Armor and weapons that have been altered by a smuggler will have a "identifier tag" in its examine window description. (Correspondent Issue)
* Spices that reduce your attributes will not incapacitate you.
And I found this kind of funny:
Armor: Added an option to Composite armor pieces such that players can select the color of their armor. This works around a problem we introduced before the holidays where we inadvertently re-colored all pieces of composite armor. This option will exist only for the next 2 weeks.

Thanks Arkiram!!
I always wondered why only Composite had the "color" option, I guess that explain it.
As for the YT, I would not consider that Smuggler related since every Privateer pilots get them.
Ok, removing the discount from my list, thanks Smuggler Caylin, I was not sure.
