Merry Xmas to you all first off!
But annnyway, have you guys noticed we are usually the nicest, most respectful players in the game?
So nice infact, even though we are meant to be criminals, people we have never met gladly trade over expensive items to us!

We ARE the good guys, but so are alot of other SWG forum communities out there.
There is more out there, I promise. The commandos are definitely a good bunch. Go over there and read their "Tank Thread".
All the forums are like that, professions that is. I have to admit, the only profession forum that really ever did bug me was the Combat Medic. There was a point in time where you would get called a troll for even lurking that place. As a matter of fact, I have never seen such misuse of logic and undeveloped thinking patterns, especially during the (very) long period of time people such as I were trying to get them balanced for PvP.
Ignorance wasn't the word for it. Some threads used the fact that "combat" was in their profession title to justify their role as "zerg stoppers" and "crowd control". I have read threads where CM's claimed to be only able to craft 400-500 max damage poisons in defense of their power, but at the same time read other threads where CM's claimed to craft 1000+ poisons or area poisons with an area of effect greater than the range it could be thrown (he named it Raid-be-Gone). This was at the time when the only counter was a doctor, and no group with sufficient doctors could keep up with multiple enemy CMs spamming area poisons/diseases with havla, a food that let them throw poisons at near once per second.
I don't wanna hijack your thread mate, so I'll just leave it there. Every community is pretty nice. Take a look at the commando forum when you get the chance. I really LOVE the way garvin keeps the commandos full of hope by telling them that they will love what the CU is gonna bring them. He hints at what is going to happen, without disclosing anything. I really think we need that here, instead of the silence we get from our correspondant and Team Low Blow. I'm not knocking them. I think there is something they could learn by reading the commando forum though. The smuggler community is waaay to grim and pesimistic for its own good. I know the history here, and I've lived through it. But I remember a time when the smuggler forum was bright and colorful, a vibrant place to be. Now it is definitely grizzled, colder, and more than a little pesimistic. I'm sick of it. This place needs hope, something a good deal of our leaders have abandoned.

Not hi-jacking mate, voicing an opinion!
Thats what I like about the smuggler forums, there are very few intelligent comments you will get flamed for, even if they aren't even remotely agreed with by the reader, or in the cases of other forums, the flamer
Two reasons I believe we might be the good guys are:
1) We aren't a powerful profession, thus we cut out the so often abusive "power-player".
2) We are a profession played mostly by role players, or at least those conscious of image extending beyond the size of our weapons.
lol I just read that, icame out a bit different to how I intended.

Ah hahahaha, I just posted in the commando forum.
Well, I did just praise them heavily, but there was one thread that detailed the technical data that Norad puts out about Santa's actual flight (how fast he would fly, how much his sleigh would weigh, etc.). I commented that ironically, Santa will have no North Pole to live at in a hundred years or so.
Data obtained by some 250 scientists says that the Arctic cap will not exist much longer than 2100. The Inuit (Eskimos) will also lose their lands (ice) there, and are struggling to get greenhouse emissions categorized as human rights abuse. Polar bears, which live only on the north pole, will also go extinct.
The origninal poster flamed then one starred me.... my bad.. i thought it was a thread to discuss numerical specifics about Santa and the North Pole.
It will feel odd explaining to your great grandchildren that Santa actually moved to Antarctica.... or worse.. Canada

Nah, this just means that all the bad guys are infront of us, and we can shoot them in the back all at once.

Well you could say we are nice enough until you cross us. In Star wars different smugglers did all different kinds of things.
Some would steal candy from a baby, and then there's more charming smugglers like Talon Karrde, and Han Solo.
So really to a degree, the only certainty in RPing a smuggler, is that we were created because they needed to take the heat off jedi with an even cooler profession!
If anyone questions me, look at it this way, Han saved the galaxy as much as Luke in the end, and he didn't resort to coming on to his sister for kicks!
