Thread: Slices not random?
Hhmm - I had identical slices of 15% on a set of wookiee armor a couple of days ago - didn't slice a lot lately since the low percentages frustrate the heck out of me... ![]()
Well, being an armor smith, I also sliced my armor and got the exact same 16% Effectiveness increase on every piece.
So maybe this is the case. If only we knew exactly what the max stats were for armor and weapons then we could figure out what the slice would be.
I had a WS friend get 6% damage on four in a row...they they went woggy
Your WS pal is oh so wrong
Still random as...well...reality!

Oh he was not friend of mine... and all the armor I create keeps slicing the same 16% effectiveness... but weapons with identical serial numbers and stats, slice the same too.
I even went so far as to start buying CDEF pistols off the bazaar that had the same serial numbers to slice them out of 5/5 had the same slice applied.
I tried that with 2 groups of 5.
I'll post the rest of my data when I get home.
Slicing is now inversely proportional to the "quality" of the products. It's not exactly random any more. The nearer to the cap stats a WS or AS makes their weapons or armor the lower the slice you will get.
Also Armor will always have an effective slice now. With an increase in hinderace abovea master'smitigate stats by about 1-2%. So, wearing a full suit of sliced amor you will have a minimum of 7% hinderance to your rate of fire, accuracy, and movement. Max is about 14%. So, think twice before you slice armor.
