Finally got back in game yesterday to put my affairs back in order. Respeced my 80% comp to some, I suppose, decent Ubese. Sliced it too. Got 16% effectiveness across the board. I don't even know if that's good or not anymore, since those numbers are way higher than I thought they'd be. Can we get the FAQ CURB updated or are we waiting for the fabled revamp?

Good to see ya back....
An updated FAQ would be awesome, but just troll around here for a bit, and you'll pick-up alot.
I know I have.

I don't think there's much point to doing an udated FAQ when so much is broken til the reveamp. But I'd been considering writing a preliminary.

Eh, yeah, but so much now is still sorta speculation, the skill boxes still aren't complete...etc. etc. etc.

ripped from the AS forum
Because encumberance is gone and hindrances are affected solely by general protection, slicing now only affects resists. Slicing affects both standard and special protection equally. Slicing is also entirely predictive -- knowing the stats of the armor and how it was constructed, you can accurately predict what the post-slice results will be.
Ignore whatever the system message tells you the armor's general effectiveness was increased by -- the number means nothing as far as I can tell. For armor made with advanced cores, all resists will increase by a number generated by the following expression, where GP is the "general protection" of the armor as determined by the crafting of the core.
DELTA = 1892 - 0.25 * GP
For unlayered armor, GP will always be the special protection resists (acid, cold, electric, heat). For layered armor, particularly primus-layered, GP is a bit more difficult to ascertain on first glance.
As mentioned previously, hindrances are affected by general protection. It is possible (and indeed likely) that sliced armor will have hindrances high enough that combat masters will still have some minor hindrance.

dunno... probably explained in the AS forum somewhere... might just be some value gotten when slicing & plotting the outcome / getting the curve to fit

Thanks thanks...been busy. Played just long enough to update my vendor and my armor and whatnot the other day. Need to bake some more neutron. What are you guys selling it at, and any thoughts on a new pricing model?

I'm selling pretty much all my spice at not less than 1K per hit. Often, the market will support at least 2K per hit, but I'm happy with the 25K/crate profits.

So you sell by the crate or individually? And what all are you selling?
