Thread: Anyone else having trouble with feign death?

I'm a 47 smuggler with 4/4/4/3 and everytime i try to feign death i fail. This wouldn't be so bad except there is a delay between when feign death happens and when i actually fall to the ground. In the event it fails i then have to get back up and continue running, or more often i get incapped lay around for a bit. Feign death failing isn't the problem, but the delay between teh action and its effect is so long that i find myself getting incapped everytime i fail feign death. Anyone know a workaround for this or am i the only one having this trouble?

As soon as you see the message that you failed stand up (maybe with the use of a /stand hotkey)and try again. I had astreak of bad luck with FD lately but usually managed to stay alive long enough to finally succeed.

never worked when i needed it but i rarely use my toon with smuggler.

Feign Death and Low Blow were my bread and butter for sixteen months. So much so that I had FD on my right hand thumb button (mousebutton 4 for "internet back" when surfing the web. That's the button I keep my most important, unconscious moves onto even in space...launch countermeasures). Now, I am lucky I even have FD and LB on the 2nd row of my page 1 F-keys. I'm very sad.

For me, FD works about 50% of the time I've used it. Beyond that the only smuggler specials I use are concussion and occasionally restraining shot.

As a Master Smuggler, you would think we can use it and have it work around 8 out of 10 times, but it doesn't for me. The delay in it is because it is a special move like your other moves.... you have to wait for the cool down period of the move right before you FD.

the past week for me FD seems to be workning once in every three to four times.

same problem for me, Master Smuggler and FD rarely ever works now. Pre CU it worked almost all the time, it was realiable. Damn nerfs.

KD recovery works great when you see that feign death has failed message , just hit it straight away and FD again , rinse and repeat till it sticks
