What Proff is working well with Smuggler at the mo, i have no idea what to get as a support proff, ne ideas?

I thought of BH but to be honest its like every other person is a BH now, thats no disrespect to you of course.

I have MS/MBH and a line of Pistoleer but I am a Smuggler, I'm NOT a BH. I have no intention of hunting Jedi nor do even own a BH droid.


Personally I think the way the CU and professions works is lame.


Smuggler, BH, Commando, Doctorare professions and I really think that their masteriesshould be mutually exclusive. Pistoleer, Rifleman, Caribeener, and all the brawling elites are SKILLs, NOT professions. However SOE decided to make them all 'professions'.


I don't like the idea of multiple profession masteries in the least. If the CU had made it so you could only have ONE profession mastery and no more than say 34 skill points (novice and two branches) in any other elite combat professions THEN I think we'd see the diversity the CU was supposed to give us. We also wouldn't have as many BHs and Smugglers as we ended up with.

Like most Smugglers, what I am now isn't much different than before (even if weaker, because it's about being happy) so I'm still M.Smuggler and M.Pistoleer (although I dropped my TKM and rerouted those points to become Novice Doctor [Medic 4040] so I could heal my wounds, throw decent pure heals on myself and get a +300 Health buff which as it stands now is tops in the game. Only non-bugged enchancements can do better and all they do is extend the duration).

I've found greater range is 90% time the better, why I switched from commando to rifles. I'm now Master Smuggler (Good Crowd control), Master Rifleman(Good damage and range), Pistoleer 0004 and Commando 3000 (Defence stacking)


With food, drink, Aakun rings, clothesand SEAs, my range defence hits over 350ish and no one is getting in melee range of me. Rifles is the King of damage and range and they have some crowd control in conjunction with smuggler means I can do what ever I like to my target unless they're rifles as well and no exactly what they are doing.


It was hard giving up my pistols though

Im Master Smuggler/Master Rifleman/Master Marksman/Pistoleer 0/0/3/0(for intimidate shot). Good speed, good accuracy, good damage, good crowd control, and its fun. Rooting with improved concussion shot from 65 meters out and then bustin advanced sniper shot with some head shots mixed in rocks.

So far, I've found that TKM, Pistoleer, Rifleman, Carbineer, Commando, and CM all play pretty well with Smuggler. Currently, I'm having a lot of fun with Smuggler/CM/0040 Commando.

there are two templates I LOVE, still trying to figure out which one to stick with...

Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer/BH x31x
You get a lot of nice accuracy and speed from Pistoleer, and you get a nice damage shot and knockdown from BH. Very fun, however, if you don't like the pesky 35 m range of pistols....

Master Smuggler/Master Carbineer/Pistol 44xx
This is what I am playing with now, and although I haven't done much with it just yet, it is pretty damn cool. You get amazing accuracy and speed, some good power attacks from carbines, plus all the mezzing associated with smuggler. Although I prefer to have a pistol in my hand, this template seems to be great at both. Use the carb when they are far off, switch to the pistol for close range.

As for Master BH/Master Smuggler. I tried it, and although the damage is good, I wasn't really happy with the speed/accuracy. My opinion in this post CU world you gotta hit them first, and you gotta hit them hard. If you're healing, your dying (but this is just my personal feeling, if we disagree, we disagree).
