Thread: Master Smuggler better at slicing than slicing 4?

My first slice was 20% speed. Nm it was a rantok sword anyway.
Reason why I ask the question in title is because the ingame description does not show any improvement for slicing in the master smuggler box.

Yes, Master gets a bonus. Always has. Always will.
Slicing is screwed up right now, so expect crappy slices. Some folks have gotten -3% speed slices. So, If you have any decent equipment that you want to slice, wait.
On the bright side, our new slicing system should be coming very soon. Wes believes that it'll be with the next Publish. So keep an eye out for it.

minus speed slices are normal arent they, speed should be DECREASED not increased, what do you all think? i only get minus speed slices and it ALWAYS improves base dps !
2) slices are not bugged or crappy. they seem to be because now every weapon has a stat cap and slice now ALWAYS DOES BEST POSSIBLE TUNING, always CAPS a weapon.
if the weapon was already at cap its a 0%, but most time a slice can do 0-8% improvement. the slices dont vary anymore, they are always SAME on a similiar weapon !!!!!
they should remove the % display and just write "the weapon was sliced best possible to its stat cap "
slicing works DIFFERENT now , no way that its bugged or crappy atm.

I don't know about you, but when I get a 1% damage slice, I'd call that crappy. It's hardly worth slicing the weapon at all.
I;ve got some really nice wepons set aside for when they finally give us the new slicing system. I wouldn't be able to get decent slices on them right now considering they are some of the best crafted guns possible, but I may be able to improve them much more when the new system is here.

you are right, maybe they change the "cap" to higher numbers so that slices can get higher % too .
but maybe its not the slice that is too weak but the crafting result that is just too good atm.
maybe weapons were prepatch not 1% below cap but 30% below cap after CRAFTED and now crafting results in so good weapons that there is no "room" for slicing anymore
