I have been hearing here on the forum that meatlumps outside Coronet are a decent chance at picking up locked containers. Do you have to find them as a static spawn or will the ones from missions work? I ran a number of meatlump destroy missions out of Coronetand saw no loot other than a few credits. AM I looking in the wrong place?

Both types will work, but I dont think the drop rate is any higher with them, just the static spawns offer a good concentration of targets with a fast re-spawn rate. Try Tyrena right next to the spaceport, there is a nice area around there with a constant supply.

my favoritest place is dearic... there are 3 static spawns inside the city and usually one or two floating around outside the wall... and noone hangs out in dearic... I mean... do you even know what planet its on without me telling you?

If your simply farming for containers, any NPC will do. However if you're running missions then your your only going to kill 6 guys every 15-20 minutes (thats a guess factoring in an average 3 NPCs per mission plus the time it take to go and get 2 more missions.). Whereas camping a static spawncan give you far more kills over an extended period of time. At this point in time however, we have no hard data as to whether one kind of NPC drops more containers as any other. In any case, looting containers can happen few and far in between. I recommend hanging out on the north side and south side of the bank in Moenia, there's enough NPCs there to keep you busy, not a lot of people spawn camp there ( most seem to go behind the starport for that), and its right next to the bank/bazaar so you can always check if there are any locked containers for sale in the galaxy.

Just some advice froma "true" smugglerwho had too much dignity to SPAM the hell out of everyone in front of starports.
