Thread: Any consensus on how to find Locked Containers?
Three choice (in order of the amount of time you will spend getting the containers)
1) buy them. From vendors, the bazaar, random people on the street... expect to pay entirely too much for them.
2) kill things that drop them. Generally, anything that can shoot back has a chance to drop them (i.e. humanoid mobs... the thugs outside tyrena and kadaara are the best)
3) spam any populated that you need slicing exp and are slicing containers (either for free, or paying for the privelege of handing over the useless junk in them)
Personally, I did 2 after trying 3 for a few hours and deciding that nothing was worth the kind of humiliation that comes with a smuggler begging (loudly) to perform an illegal service in public.

hopefully you are not on radiant as i am giving away my secret. Go spam Fort Tusken for locked containers. I stay outside (inside fighting if i am buffed) and people generally come to me with their containers. I often shout that i am slicing them open too. Got through slicing one in a day, half way to slicing 2 and it's only been a day and half.

I AM on Radiant and I am running STRAIGHT for the Tusken tombstone forthouse thingie as SOON as I log on again.
MUHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
...I'm serious.
Thanks for the tip. Finding containers is a HUGE pain in the-
Gotcha, didn't realize I not only have to wait between term slices, but it's also less xp per slice. Under the circumstances, they really ought to give more xp as you go up the tree.

p.s. are they going to fix the whole 'jammed locker' bug?
because smuggler required me to get all of unarmed done first..i did almost all of unarmed 1-4 just on npc mobs and had almost enough containers to get through slicing 1 and 2..my guildies gave me the rest for that box (i think i was like 16 short).
save the cdef's out of the containers and slice those for slicing 3 and 4 .. if you need more have an artisan make you a couple of crates of survival knives and slice those
I spent four hours to get two of them (though one did have a force crystal--whoohoo) killing meatlumps outside of Moenia, and then looked on the Bazaar and found twenty for sale for 3k apiece--I bought them all and it was well worth it. Naturally, there wasn't anything but junk in those twenty.
The nice thing about containers over terminals is that containers give 250 xp per slice--terminals give only 100, but the extra payout on the missions is good and that covered the cost of the purchased containers relatively quickly.
I've now got Slicing III and am glad I still have Novice Artisan so I can make my own survival knives to slice.
I was thinking of making an alt to go Artisan to make money for the combat character--it's way too boring for me. I can be thankful to all the slicing grinding for that lesson.
