When originally asked about how the Space Expansion would change the current smuggling profession, we got the response that there would be 'privateers' in JTL and that smugglers would play a major part. Since then it has been determined that 'privateer' is the name for the non-factioned pilot profession, so there is some question about how it will affect smuggler. From what we understand, however, 'privateer' is NOT a smuggler-only situation. No one really has any pertinant details about this issue, at the moment (besides of course the JTL design team).

Smuggler is up for revamp (pretty much has been since launch lol). That's currently (and hopefully not tentatively) scheduled for Publish 11, which is predicted for September or so. It's an odd situation in that we'll be getting revamped litterally weeks before JTL is released.
