Thread: strangely high slices

now i know there has been a million treads about this but the past 3 or 4 days ive gotten an insane amount of high slices ive sliced like 30 weapons and havent had a slice lower than 28%, hte same with armor sliced 3 ful suitstoday and only one under25% even 2 35% effect slices,am i just having a great run or has anyone else noticed this

Why yes. Just today I did a suit for a feisty little bothan, the lowest number was a 32% on effect and the highest was 43% on ecumbrance. This is just insane.

I know folks will disagree with me, but I've always attributed runs (either high or low) to the WuKs and AuKs I'm using.... There have been many times when my slicing percentages would shift dramatically after changing to a different makers Upgrade kits... and it wasn't always quality that won out...
Call me superstitous...

Roll with the luck while you got it. I've slice 35 suits of armor for a friend of mine the past couple of days and the percentages are all over the board. Things haven't changed except your luck...

The luck that you are having is hitting the random number generator at an "up" time. Granted, you're very lucky that you've hit it 3-4 days in a row.
Trust me, I spent a morning having bad "luck" just by teting survival knives, 'cause I was curious about all this. At one point in the day I started hitting "good" luck and went toslice for my AS employer. Very good day, hardly any slices below the 20% effect or 30% encumb mark.
Just before I left my good comp for the summer I started carrying around a crate or two of survival knives so I could predit what my slices would be like when they asked me to slice for em. Slicing 5 knives will give you a pretty good idea where you're at, and, if you really want, charge more when you're having "good" luck (I always stuck with my 2k/slice on Shadowfire).
The random number generator in this game is VERY streaky, learn to work with it.

Last night I was getting tons of high speed slices, but when I did get a damage slice, they were 30%. Weird.
I kind of like the random slice % but I don't at the same time. Does that make sense?

A couple of weeks ago it wa that way for me 2 days straight. Got me to 1 million cr. finally.
It came back to earth recently, though

ok i really dont know if this is strange or not....but was curious.....anyone know what the max slice percentage is? In the last few days ive hit a few slices in the low to mid 40's. Sorry if im askin a dunb question kinda new to the smuggler thing

We've all been there. That maxes for armorare 35% on effect and 45% on encumb. The max for weapons is 35% on speed or damage. Remember its allbased on what direction the oldest durni 500m North of Tyrena is facing. Go kill that durni!!!

Hmm....
I wish that had been the case for me today. *sigh* I had a horrible string of slices culminating in an 11% EFFECTIVENESS SLICE a relatively nice composite chest piece for a friend. I haven't checked out these boards in a while, but aren't we, as Masters, supposed to have a higher minimum cap than that? If not I'm dropping Smuggler until the revamp. I can't much more of this.

I've slice like 20 weapons the last 2 days for 30%+ damage slice got 3 34% in fact. However have got a couple of lowish 20% speed slices. Don't even start with me about my armor. I've always been lucky with weapons, however I have to slice 5 suits to get good slices. Always the oppsite of what I want as well.
