Actually, a little over that, more like 56 thousand, but the point still stands. Never slap a stormtrooper silly in an empty cantina in Mos Eisly. 'Cause apparently, ya know, they take offense to just that sort of thing. I was knocked down,taken Imperial Faction, and out into debt. I started out with 30,000 creds and after about ten minutes ended up with negative fifteen hundred Imp points, nine incaps, and fifty-six thousand cred tab. I wouldn't mind it so much if they just fined me when I saw them, but ya know, every cred I make from now on goes to those Imps we all love.

Basically, what's a master smuggler to do? My bike's just about broke and I can't even afford a ticket to Coronet to beg to slice.

What cin I kill for money the big dustball?

(I actually owe Lady Val and Jabba more, milked'um for all they have, so no go on them)

There's the empire for ya.

I didn't know you could actually go into debt. I messed with some stormtroopers on some alt characters. Once I did the /dance on one: 500 cred fine. On a totally different character, I said, THE EMPIRE SUCKS right in front of him 10,000 cred fine and -100 imp faction, but I didn't go into debt.

I wonder what the actualy scale for how bad a punishment you get is?

I'm not sure if I should be proud of it or not, but I've got 700k credits in Imperial fines. Let's just say I'm a slow learner...

Wow. The worst thing that's happened to me in that respect is a 1k credit fine for kissing a stormtrooper.

I had a gaggle of troopers hanging around my house and they snagged me a few times. The first time I got stopped it took almost a minute to get the he's clear message. The next time I /salute the trooper and within a second or 2 I get the all clear. I am an imp and master smuggler. I have done the salute a couple other times and get let go almost immediately every time. Don't know if it would work for rebels though. Also I always have some spices on me, sliced weapons and armor and slicing materials.

I don't get fined for slapping ST's. The Apolagize to me and say they'll do better.

Possibly b/c I'm a (discharged) Colonel in the Imperial Navy...

Ok...so now, not only do Imps get away "scott-free" with contraband, they can also abuse the hired help with no reprecussions whatsoever?

Am I the only one who has a problem with this?

By the way...this is coming from a somewhat bi-partisan p-o-v. I have an Imp on one server and a Reb on another, so I can kinda speak from both sides.

Once you get past the initial "fun" of watching the various responses from the STs, there's the thing that even the military should have laws against abuse.

If you ask me, this is just another tool for the developers to boost the self-esteem of all the 12-year-old "ub3r l33t" powergamers with nothing better to do than insult STs just because they can.

I've been trying to find reasons to hang on until after the Smuggler revamp. But stupid crap like this only moves me closer to canceling my accounts...

I think it's cool Drev. It's what I imagine the Empire to be like. People going around slapping Imps and getting fined is AWESOME.

I've even see where they say messed up things like- "let's just see how many credits you have on you citizen!" and the fact that they take into account how high your rank is- COOL!

I say they bring more of this stuff- If I wanted to abuse the hired help- I'da been an Imp. They are the ones in control ATM so I would expect certain things to go easier on them.

...I wonder what happens when you slap a rebel.

If you don't close the fine window out, when you load somewhere else be it a planet, across the planet, or dieing it will not charge you what you owe the Empire. Good thing too :-P im a master smuggler!
