Thread: new slicing prices?

So currently I charge 7k per slice...I figured though with all these new weapons that are gonna be popping up all over the place, is anyone gonna be chargeing more? supply and demand right? maybe I'll chrage 10k per slice...mwhahahaha maybe even 15k for the first day...hmm maybe I shoulda made some more weapon upgrade kits...

Spoken like a true smuggler. I already charge 10k per slice though... have for over a year now. I would recommend at least starting with 15k maybe 20k for the first week or so.

hmmm i dont konw people on ol Bloodfin sometimes throw a fit at my 6k prices, but I will definately be raising them when slicing becomes a chore hehe...i'd say alot of people will be in teh 10-15k range w/in a couple months

Back when I sliced a lot I found there was always a fraction of my customers who'd complain about the price no matter what it was. Could be 20K, could be 10K, 100cr/%, even 2K--whatever the fee, someone would find it outrageous. Eventually, I learned to advise these people to go get their slices from whoever was doing it for cheaper, and just set my rates at whatever I felt comfortable charging and let the customer decide whether that was worth it to them.
If I sliced now, it'd be in the 15K range.. and I would spend a good deal of time clubbing my conscience into submission if I thought I could bump it up for a rush on post-CU gear.

heh... The way I see it, if people want their weapons sliced, they pay me. If they find a cheaper smuggler, fine. If they want to whine and complain, /denyservice.

15k for the win...spread the word all smugglers should charge a min of 15k for the next few weeks...guildmates and close friends charge whatever...but if you do not know 15k please...thankyou....

I have only been a Master Smuggler for about a month or so, so I have been only charging 5k per slice on Starsider, with results under 15% for free to get my name out. Half the time the customers tip me more than what I ask for. But for post-CU, I can see going up to 15k per slice. Heck, since it doesn't look like I will be able to earn money hunting worth a darn as a Master Pistoleer/Smuggler going to have to do something for income.
This thread sounds like the beginning of the Smuggler Alliance

Hmmm... Smuggler's Alliance...
Now sounds like a perfect time to implement it. I'll post a new thread about it. Personally, 15K base price for me, and then the usual Idiot tax, imperial discount, etc all will be adjusted.

I usually charge a minimum of 10k but am considering the idea of 15k. I don't make much of slicing and carry few tools anymore...most of my income is faction....space loot/creds.

Howabout 15k now and forever?
Personally, I haven't sliced for anyone other than friends in like a year and a half.
I wonder what people would do if we charged 30k, told them it was a 30% dmg? I would love to be caught like that, then just switch my title to Scoundrel and cackle and walk way.
