Thread: How long have you been Master Smuggler?

Just curious, no real point.
I was ready for it about three weeks before they fixed that Slicing 4 problem, shortly after picked it up and have never dropped it.

I don't know exactly. I didn't hold out for the fix of the slice 4 problem, I just went for it as quickly as I could. I think July 2003 -- but I know at least Novice was July 2003. I have never dropped Smuggler either ... I picked up Pistoleer then TKA after ... and have kept all three.
Most recently I have also started picking up Politician ... but now I am fearful that I will not be able to continue with my city if I choose not to Respec 
... so we will figure out what is going on.

wow i have done the doubel and tripl epost, but never 6 in a row, that has got to be a record, wish iknew how i did it.

Sept 3, 2003 at about 3 PM. I would have masterd earlier but Sunrunner was not a server up at launch

was trying to think of the smuggler that trained me for master . Cant remember. I do remember the first one i asked wanted to charge me 10k .

It was awhile before I hit Master since I am a casual player. It was the profession I wanted the most, and didn't go for anything else from launch day. It just took me awhile. I think it was in Nov '03, but am not sure.

Well thats a hard question to answer completely for me. I started playing on Starsider at release...would have been one during beta if I had more time...they were slow to implement smuggler and even thenthey weren'tsure on the requirements for smuggler. I believe at one point novice smuggler required merchant xp...shudder. Once it was changed to pistol xp in retail smuggler was the first profession I mastered. I was a wookie smuggler. My friends were going to go rebel on release so I went with the wookie since i wasn't too impressed with armor in beta. Unfortunately my friends decided to go imperial instead...and since starsider was population locked I was stuck lol. Imperial prejudice hurt my ability of reduced faction points. But I continued on. I was a master Smuggler with some pistoleer...how I loved the pre nerf panic shot lol...dueling was fun for me to see the guy i dueled become frustrated at not being able to do anything but run away lol.
After the population lock was lifted I got another account and started as a human this time. I was too attached to my wookie to give him up entirely. Went tkm with the human though then started working on smuggler. Then was frustrated with the game and was getting burned out on SWG especially since most of my friends left to play other games. Took a break for a while. Girlfriend who I was living with broke up with me, so I moved out. Came back to SWG when jtl was in beta and I was accepted to test it. After JTL beta I moved to Farstar because I met a bunch of people from there. Became a TKM/Master Smuggler on the newer account and been playing there ever since. Ping is a bit high there though and once again most of my friends there on farstar haven't been playing much. So I might change servers again...but not sure where...preferably on an east coast server though. So not completely sure how long I've been a Master Smuggler but in spirit I've always been a Smuggler since retail. Was Graxxus before and am Graxul now....but I'm always Grax....hehe.

About 6 weeks after the game was released in the UK, not really wanted to be anything else, not even a Jedi.

I have to be honest... I was all over the shop when I first started. Played a Pikeman, Rifleman, TKA, CH... I didnt know what I wanted to do.. Never got further than tier III with most....and Smuggler seemed like such a change of playstyle, I didnt give it a thought.
But one day, I did. Been hooked ever since.
But... not a Master yet. But will be. Finally. Does that count? LOL
