You can't believe how happy I was to hear about that one. My target was 5, but 6 is like when you slip your belt a notch after dinner: yeah, now that's roomy.

Very nice, although I still see myself in my Dunelizard. Hmm. And I'm still working on collecting parts for REing to put in my Krayt purely for the two-player experience... I wonder if any of the new ships will be interesting enough to me to switch.

Well, I only wanted one extra slot, but three is pretty sweet too. Since I was planning on getting the expansion, I'll play their game...

I preordered via the launchpad, will I get the DDL or a box in the mail? I cant seem to find anything that says specifically.

You will get the download only. No box needed. Also, it sounds like you will get the download 3 weeks before the retail box hits the stores too.
