I played for a while this morning and took a level 75 quenker mission. I'm currently MRifleman/MSmuggler so I'm a CL 80. So I ride out to my mission and hope off. I find one of the quenkers and lead him away from the layer. I shoot at him and shoot at him and he just keeps regenerating before my next shot. I rooted him, blind, confusion, and all other kinds of specials. Nothing I used hit for more than 300 points of damage. So just before I get slain, I throw on Feign Death and lie there long enough for him to move away. I get up and jump on my bike and head back to the starport.

As I'm riding to the starport I see a few huurtons off in the distance. There were 2 huurton pups and a huurton stalker. What I find really amazing is these are the combat levels. Huurton Pup - CL 57, Huurton Stalker - CL 8, Huurton Pup - CL 28. So I start blasting away at the stalker. He had 16k ham and it took quite a while to take it down. I got 1 whole xp for it. I then shot at the Huurton Pup with the cl 28. This took longer than the stalker did and he had less ham. I then took out the huurton pup with CL 57. This took a while and many times I though I was going to die. For all of these, I got a whole 3 xp total.

How am I supposed to get xp when I can't take anything my level? How is it thata Huurton Pup almost kicked my but. I saw a voritor dasher with a cl80 and a slinking voritor with a cl18. How is that possible?

I really do like alot of the changes but I can't stand the crazy CL levels of these creatures. I hope they fix this soon. But until the mean time, what is the best way to get xp?

Lol, you're in the same guild as me, and I've never heard of you

I'd say the best way to get xp is A.) Get in a group B.) Do the tedious task of finding something your level C.) Pray that the Devs fix it somehow.

it honestly sounds like you were using the wrong armor on the quenkers..did you have armor on?

Armor doesn't effect exp gain. As for this situation, I had a similar experience today, with an imperial medic npc. He was level 78, I was level 80. Now, in the past, I could one-shot a medic (he's a medic...wearing clothing not armor..for god's sake...). Now, they have more health than a fully-armored stormtrooper used to. He was able to incap me in about 4 or 5 shots.

Now, I encounter a level 80 stormtrooper on my next try. He falls so quickly that I can hardly believe it.

There's a serious imbalance....

A guildie tells me that everything gives him 1 xp. He was hitting stuff that conned grey. So I suggest we head to Dathomir. We take a baz nitch mission. Now, I'm Master Smuggler/Pistoleer and TKA 4400 so I'm lvl 80. I was wearing my Ubese, which I refitted from comp, and it refitted nice. Something like 3000 Kinetic and 5000 Energy.

I could take them one at a time no problem. Rooting is sweet. I'd stop them and then hit them with Improved Body Shot, which was doing around 1k on the strongest hits. But when 3 of them ganged up on me, I was done. I did manage to take a few down. They were giving pre-CU xp, about 5k pistol and 500 combat.

So yes, you have to get in a group, preferably full and with some sort of medic. It's going to be slower than powergrinding, but wasn't that the point of the CU? To make the game a challange. I do pity the Jedi though. My guildie that was previously mentioned was a Jedi, and he got taken down quick. Not sure how they're supposed to get xp when the stuff that gives xp can smack them around so bad. I guess they thought that Jedi was to easy...

I haven't even tried my Padawan yet... but yeah. I'm a Master Bounty Hunter/Smuggler 4-3-4-3... what really sucks bad is they made slicing pistol xp and spice crafting combat.. I can handle that.. but for master, it's now 1 mil pistol xp.. it's going to take months to get master.. lol...

But I was wearing comp armor. What's really crazy isI took a level 75 quenker mission and got there and they were all cl 27... so that was a waste of my time.. I could take those out 2 at a time.. more than that and i was feign deathing.. lol...
