Grouping
* Group levels are based upon the highest level group member
ok... for those of you who don't get Teh Funnay, i'll break it down for you...
In EQ@ ( another fine SOE product{end sarcasm}) when you group, the xp level is calculated at the HIGHEST lvl character... so if you're lower lvl, you get almost the same xp as the top dog... now here's where it gets interesting....
IIRC, in EQ2, if i was a lvl 20 scout, and my wife( who played the game too)was lvl25, i'd get the same xp as her, when grouped.... now.. the kicker is that if we were hunting things, and she was lvl 30, or higher, then there goes the xp.. because the lower lvl char is not within i belive it was 5-7 lvls of the highest party member, then there would be NO XP GAIN. there by forceing the lower lvl character to group with others of the same level area...
anyone see where this is going? anyone else remember when you could get a group of friends together ( of various Levels) and actualy have FUN in this game?
thank the maker my account expires in exactly one month....

I played EQ2... so I know about the level thing and grouping. I came in much later than my other guildies, so I could never group with them until they put that mentoring thing in.
But I guess I'm not seeing your point, since in SWG you don't have to worry if your group is of varying levels.

This is how it has been, I think it got bugged though.
Basically, since damage done to you by creatures is calculate by the difference between your level and the creature's level, that lvl 1 guy in the group becomes a defacto level 80, he gets the same amount of xp he normally would, but if he gets attacked he doesn't get oneshotted.
