I'm not trying to squash the rebellion that's going on around here, but I thought I'd throw something out there for everyone who's quitting - some food for thought, if you will.

Don't waste your time, money, or hard drive space on other MMORPGs. SWG still kills everything else on the market even with all it's problems. I've quit the game 2 times now to play WoW and EQII. They just flat out suck compared this game.

Anyway, that's my two cents. Feel free to quit and feel free to take a stand....just don't expect to find a game that's any better than SWG.

i'm with you on that one. i played linage2, coh, eq2, wow, and ff11. none of them are even close to be what swg is by a long fall. and i do like all the changedthe Devsare doing. and CU rocks

City of Heroes is pretty....but very dull by the time you hit level 25

Final Fantasy XI is also pretty and has crafting...but little ownership of anything. Fun quests, but at level 10 you can forget soloing anything worth xp.

World of Warcraft....I've heard good things, but watched a ton of people drop after a while. I personally like more customization in my character other than having a He-Man clone.

Lineage 2? Good god...a griefer's dream. Player-killers at level 60-80 just hanging out in front of the towns where new players start. Just waiting for them to walk out the gates so they can kill them with "AHAHAHAh!!!!1!1!! j00 n00b!!! 1 pwz0rd j00!!1!!!"....literally.

EQ2? Never played it, never played EQ1 either.

Planetside? Was very fun...but Battlefield 2 is out, and a far better bargain for your bucks and fun.

UO? Uhmm...does anyone even play UO?

Gotta say I'm really enjoying CoH so far...and I thinking I'm getting into at the right time. I figure by the time I level up my first few characters and start to get bored with it, CoV will be released and give me a new spark to play with.

Can you have weapons in City of Heroes besides powers? I always wanted to be a Max Payne type super hero in that game.

Yeah, there is a blaster type that has shotguns and machine guns, etc...havent tried that one yet...

SWG is good even though I believe it is on a decline. However if you're a Smuggler and have been one for two years you MIGHT notice you still can't smuggle anything. That is enough of a downer for me to simply do without an MMORPG until Star Trek or LotR come out. I'm even considering going back to AO.

And, you can always come back if you find that they've finally followed through with their previously empty promises.

It is less about the game than it is about being treated like dog poo by the devs. I can't justify giving them money to continue to treat me this way.
