Has this ever been suggested? I was just thinking about smuggler while doing the hero of tat quest and this seemed to be an alright idea. It would work like enchanting in WoW.

If only one prof were to be able to do this, I'd think it would make more sense for only taylors to be able to do it. Just my opinion, though.

while the idea of illegaly modifying equipment is always appealing to me...

the idea of just tossing mod attachments onto clothes just seems like a chore. it can get annoying enough when being /telled like crazy to slice stuff. and there's even more SEA's out there then weapons i'd be willing to bet. that's a lot of work.

No offense, but this actually relates to being a Smuggler how?

I'm sick and tired of trying to come up with things other than smuggling simply because they won't take the time to put smuggling in the game.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

I agree, not very smugglerish, but I do understand the need for content has gotten this desperate, so I can certianly see why one would think of this.

Now... if you had said "Slicing to add a single mod from a CA or AA to a weapon" (and thereby make that weapon gain an additional cert of "Novice Smuggler")....

Unless I have to somehow sneak a needle and thread past a squad of rebel troopers, I'm not really interested in sewing anything. I'm all for taylors getting this.

It's also been suggested in the past that Smugglers should be able to remove SEAs from armor and clothing as a special skill. Again, this seems more of a Tailor/AS forte than a Smuggler one. I have better non-smuggling things to do. Like my non-smuggling missions...
